About
ZWF Miami is the only zoo in South Florida with as many animal encounters. At our facility, we have more than 40 exotic species, many of which are available for interactive activities with visitors. The five acre zoo houses everything from domestic animals and primates to large predatory birds and mammals. Some of our popular selection of exotic zoo animals are Lions, Tigers, Ligers, Chimpanzee, Gibbons, Otters, Sloths, Lemurs, Owls, Snakes, Tamandua, Black Jaguar, and mischievous Capuchin monkeys. The Zoological Wildlife Foundation offers intimate tours and private encounters by appointment. Contact us to schedule a special tour with our exotic animals! It's an experience you will never forget!

    Liked it a lot!
I had a great time here! I was by myself and booked the wildlife presentation. The guide was very nice and told me a lot about all the animals. Lucky for me, I was the only one, so had a private tour. I got to feed some banana at the primates and monkeys. And hold the parrot for a while during the tour. At the end there was a encouter with some animals: an owl, a snake and a lizard, fed a lemur, hold an armadillo, and played with a monkey and the dogs. My guide took the time. Although the site says it takes about 2 hours, we were ready in an hour and a half. I had a great time!

    Great experience
Purchased the General Wildlife experience which was amazing and beyond my expectations. Our personal guide was very knowledgeable about the animals calling each by name and shared some interesting facts while also being able to answer questions. All of the animals were cooperative and out and about so we could see them on our tour, which started approximately 11:15 am. Our encounter included a bird, a reptile, a mammal and a primate in which we could hold and feed. The location of this site is sort of out in the middle of nowhere but the facility is very well maintained, and the animals are all well taken care of. I would recommend this tour to anyone.

    Zoo and exotic animal rescue
For those who love and appreciate animals, this zoo is fabulous! The animals are so well cared for, look happy and healthy. Most of them, if not all, have been rescued in some way. The 2 flamingos were from Michael Jackson’s former Neverland Ranch. Others were exotic pets regular people raised but then could no longer care for them. Thank heaven for places like this where these animals can be properly cared for and loved. It was so cool meeting the lemur face to face. So cute!

    Something everyone should go experience
This place is awesome! Michael our guide was very knowledgeable and told us lots of interesting facts about the animals. My wife got to pet the clouded leopard which was a really cool close up experience. If we are ever back on Miami we will be back.

    Cousin Adventure
The adventure with exotic wild life and hands on interaction exceeded my expectation. If you want to avoid crowds it’s best to visit mid-week during morning hours or early afternoon. And, a one hour will only give you a taste of all Zoological WildLife Foundation has to offer; We took a two-hour tour - the cost was well worth the experience! By the way, hands down to our guide, Makayla!

Great experience, Knowledgable staff, opportunity of a lifetime to get up close and personal with some incredible animal
Great experience. Went for Father’s Day with my husband and toddler. The ground and enclosures are clean and well maintained. All of the staff was knowledgeable and attentive. The animal encounter at the end of our tour was wonderful. We created memories to last a lifetime. I highly recommend.

    Happy animals here!
So nice to find a wildlife refuge that actually treats the animals really well. The pins are all so clean with plenty of warm/cool bedding and play areas for the animals. They all respond warmly to the handlers which made me feel a lot better about contributing to the company by paying to go in. The handlers are all really kind and have so much knowledge about all the animals and their natural habitats.

    Fantastic MUST do experience!
Mikayla (if I remember her name rightly) was our private animal experience guide, and it was a magical experience! She made everything as special as possible! She genuinely was fantastic. The experience was fantastic, if you’re an animal lover, this experience is a must. The hands on feeding/interacting with various animals was very special!

    Different and special
Like most young children, my boys are huge fans of animals which makes us regulars at the zoo… But I wanted to do something different and special for them.. and I found it at ZWF. This up close and intimate experience was worth every penny and I have the pictures to cherish always. Our guide was amazing, cant thank her enough! We will definitely be back :)

Our visit here was the highlight of our time in the Miami area!! The animals were beautiful and well cared for, and it was amazing to be so close to them! Our guide, Karina, was patient and so knowledgeable! I never felt rushed to move on to the next animal when I was really enjoying the one I was with. (With the animal enclosures being close to each other, the group could move on, and I could linger a few extra minutes with my favorites then easily re-join the group.) I absolutely LOVED feeding them and being able to hold our pet others. There was plenty of food, so you could even feed them multiple times!! It's obvious how much these animals are loved and cared for.

Take the two-hour tour like we did! You won't regret it!

This visit was phenomenal- one we soon won’t forget. Our guide, Amanda made certain we had an enhanced experience. She was knowledgeable and fun. The animals are well cared for and their interests are preserved as well as the guests. It was a one of a kind adventure to enjoy all those different species.

The zoo is amazing and the animal interactions are phenomenal.
However, the group was too big, couldn’t hear the guide half the time.

Wow! I had little understanding of what to expect but the tour and animals we could experience hands on was such a blast! Our tour guide was intelligent, friendly, and expressed a lot of care and appreciation for the animals under her care.
The goal of this place is not rehoming or restoring the wildlife in the hopes of procreation a new generation to return home. It’s not really a zoo either, because even the zoo has much bigger exhibits. The animals, like tigers, leopards, lions, and panthers are kept in cages no more than six feet tall and 15-20 feet in length. They have many snow animals whose homes are places like Siberia and Russia. Seems like an aweful thing to do to them to keep them permanently in southern Florida? So I’m left feeling a lot of sadness and a little unsettled about this place.

Absolutely incredible! We saw so many amazing animals up close and were able to feed many of the animals! This allowed us to see them up close. All of the animals were so active and lively. We even were able to hold a few animals and see a few others up close at the end of our tour! A must do for families visiting Miami!
