We go to the Miami zoo every year for the past 10 years, this year very disappointing - especially with covid, people we walking around with no masks or masks no on properly, no social distancing, the sanitization stations were rare to find and when you did find one they were empty. As beautiful and busy as this zoo is, I expected their standards to be much higher. Love visiting the animals, they were very active during our walk.…

I LOVED this zoo. I was a little unsure about visiting since in general I'm not a fan of zoos BUT this zoo is wonderful. If you are like me and unsure about going just go! You will not regret it. The spaces/exhibits are big and most of them are in the open air, you can tell the animals are well taken care of and they seem happy. The way the exhibits are built also allows you to view them better. I love that they have little spaces for viewing the animals which makes the experience more interactive. I adored the feeding experiences, they are short but awesome. All the staff was SO friendly. I went during the week and had no issues with overcrowding or people disrespecting COVID safety guidelines. The zoo is HUGE. I walked all of it but it was exhausting, and I would definitely recommend renting one of their bicycle style cars to make the experience easier.…

Rent a bike vehicle and go around the park. Sanitary conditions are good. The giraffe feeding experience is great.

Excellent zoo. We arrived close to opening time and bought the tickets online and it was no-delay walk-in. The zoo has lots of animals and is quite large. It was good fun to spend 4-5 hours at the zoo. Parking is free and it made the trip that much more convenient. We love zoos and even with adult kids we frequent them often. The best part of the zoo is the excellent plants and tropical foliage. It was a prefect mild sunny day with nice breeze and the place was both not crowded and the few visitors were well spread out to make it a perfectly safe venue. Whats not to like - it is big and many areas are closed or not occupied by animals yet. We also didn't come across knowledgeable zookeepers or volunteers that provide tid-bits of knowledge/stories to make the visit engaging nor were there any interactive displays/shows. That may be a temporary constraint but it did take away from the usual experience of visiting a zoo. However, none of that should prevent you from visiting this excellent zoo when in the miami-kendall area. Can't wait for weather to get better in Chicago to visit Brookfield and Lincoln Park zoos.…

I wanted to like this zoo so much. Crowded. Too many bicycles. Many exhibits contained only one animal.... My biggest concern was the lack of signage to let you know where you were. Did not see one zoo employee except at the food courts. Zoo was clean.
