Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I would have never expected to go see a movie while down in the keys. But after making numerous trips to Marathon, we ended up needing to find something to do on a rainy night on one of our stays.
Not a crazy sound, huge screen, digital flic spot. But very cool in its own.
Quaint little cinema with small tables and lounge type chairs to relax in. Serves some snacks and beer/wine which was nice. It was like being in a little bar with a movie playing.
If you are stuck with nothing to do and its a storm out. Could be a good way to fill some time and see a new release movie.

Marathon is a small town. The Keys are very a rural paradise. Sometimes you need a nice evening out. This is the place. Watch for a movie you want to see and get there a half hour early to pick your seat...either a round table with chairs or a real movie seat. Small theatre but with great audio.... Enjoy a cold Beer, wine, hot dogs, popcorn and candy. Relax.
It's soooo cool. We love going there.

Where else do you get to sit at a table in a theater and have a beer or a glass of wine with your popcorn/hotdog and enjoy a great movie. Most unique theatre I know of in a small town!

We live here and this is one of our favorite places in Marathon. Great prices, they sell beer and wine and have tables along with movie seats.

We went to the cinema on New Year's Eve and had a nice time the seats were comfortable and there were tables in front of the seats. The screen was large and the sound system was good. It was a pleasant evening.

We were holidaying in Marathon and found ourselves at a loose end one evening...a quick online search and found this place..and what a find... a fair sized hall with seating and tables for your drinks and snacks...the staff were friendly and took our snacks to us as the film had started,,okay so the seats aren't the most comfy...but all in all a lovely experience...I would urge visitors to use this facility...

What talent this small local group has when it performs. The front building houses a small theater and performs great plays with local talent; the back building houses a movie theater which shows the latest movies. Both are worth experiencing. When in town, worth seeing, don't miss out on an entertaining experience.

We spent 10 days in Marathon, there is only a ONE PLEX movie theater in town. The marquee stated JACK RYAN at 930pm... We we tried 7 days in a row to see it. Each time we where turn away as they have 8 people rule. No 8 people No movie... Well I dont see how this really works, as it was 910 and they told us the 8 people rule. So if you tell people that and they leave, not everyone is going to come it at the SAME time... So I guess 930pm movies is NOT a hotspot in Marathon. My suggestion. they need to do a 6pm Movie and a 830pm movie. This way you can get the folks to bed earlier. LOL... Oh well cant really rate much else about theater as never found 8 people for a 930 showing...

We went to "Wolf of Wallstreet" on the first night it was playing there. It was a full house. We had a table, yes a table, with comfy padded chairs and we could set our popcorn and drinks, yes, I said drinks (they sell beer and wine) on the table. It was great. We have had fun telling everyone how entertaining it was. Especially when they started the movie twice and then stopped to seat more people. Loved it@@
