Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Pretty, clean beach with easy parking and restroom facilities. Family and pet friendly. Sand is nice enough and there are places to eat and drink next to the beach. Weather in November was warm enough for shorts/sleeveless and sunny most every day... the ocean was cold.

First: The beach. Real soft and sugary sand. Life guard stations close by. The drop off in the water is gradual. There's cover from the sun; and public restrooms just off the beach. There's plenty of elbow room on the beach; not crowded. Parking is a little tight at peak times; as some of it is taken by the restaurant that is just off the beach; great food by the way: Sliders.

If you're sitting in the shade and paying attention; you can see gopher tortoise burrows in the protected dune; the tortoises make occasional appearances if you're patient. They're protected; so settle for pictures !

It's possible to drive about 100 yards north or south on the beach; but don't think about it even for a minute if you do not have 4WD. We've been here 4 times over 6 years; and every day we watch someone make the calculus and lose !

There's a business that rents chairs/umbrellas and will even set them up for you; directly across the street; and very friendly.

Second: It's very close to a number of hotels and dining venues; truly a great spot; you'll love it.

Switching gears a bit: There are numerous public access points both north and south; some have limited parking; but no facilities.

Parking is limited - must come early however these spots roll continuously during the day. 50 steps to the beach. Nice covered area to shower off the sand. Next to sliders.

Across the street is chair and tent rental. Modest fee for whole day - very much worth it !! They will set up and take down.

Do not drive 2WD on the beach ... not because they will ticket you but because you will get stuck in the sand for sure. Good way to ruin a beach day.

You can take your four wheel drive vehicle right onto the beach, like they do in Daytona Beach. How fun to be able to drive your Jeep right on the sand and drive or sit and watch the sunrises. The evenings can be just as lovely. We drove during off season times, so it wasn't crowded. It was perfect.

This is a relatively small tourist service area at the beach at the end of Sadler Road and has bathrooms, picnic facilities and beach access although there is limited parking. The beach has wide sand areas and sand dunes and the park itself is just OK.

The park is very nice with benches and covered areas to sit. The access to the beach is great. There is an area where you can park your vehicle on the beach as long as it is four wheel drive and I even saw one or two of those have trouble getting stuck. The beach is beautiful and its wasn't too crowded. I walked along the water collecting the biggest seashells I have every collected. We had a nice relaxing time.

Easy beach to get to. Limited parking but there is also parking on the beach for 4 wheel drive. So if going to this beach- you will have to walk a bit to get away from the cars/noise. Restrooms/changing area kind of far once we picked our place to sit. Very busy- kids fishing right on beach- near where people walking- just not used to that. Also dogs are allowed on most beaches- please bring water for them!! Saw lots of people with dogs and NO water. It was really hot out. Definitely need umbrella !

This park is well maintained and has a minature golf course in the middle of it that is a bit tame as it is not challenging at all with very little interesting holes. If you have very young children and you want a first experience with minature golf, this is a good place to try out... don't go in the park after 10 pm - a few homeless folks come here to sleep on the benches and young couples without hotel rooms come here late at night to hang out...

I've been to this beach before and love coming back. Went with a friend for the day. There's no entrance fee. It's clean, close to bars and a restaurant, has free parking, benches and small pavilions to get out of the sun. Many drive their jeeps or trucks on the sand and set up camp. It's fun to spend the day here.
