Tried the mountain carting, day was a bit rainy but we all had a good time on the track. I think the rain made it even more fun as I was able to power slide the carts round some of the bends. Course is nice and long but there are parts when you have to get off and push, although... More

My partner and I went to Cardrona ski fields in last winter and it was breathtakingly beautiful. It was my first time snowboarding and we had two lessons - one morning then one after lunch, and the instructors were so helpful. they were small groups of ten or so, so we got a lot of one-on-one time with them. fantastic... Me and my parents are travelling around New Zealand, so we are only booking accommodation a day in advance really. Trying to find somewhere at sort notice we stumbled across a good deal on booking.com for this resort, so went ahead and made a reservation. At that time we were clueless that it was actually the highest hotel in New... More

This is the Resorts second summer opening and they are running trail bike runs.and other activities. We stayed for two days and found the staff to be wonderful and helpful. The room was up in the roof of the lodge with a very comfortable bed and downer, The room was self contained with every thing to do your own cooking... More

We were here at the summer to do the downhill mountain biking and if you are beginner then you only need half a day, there are some good trails but there are more intermediate and advance trails. It was a brilliant experience quite pricey but worth it. Also note if it is sunny as the cardrona hill is so high... More

Took the drive up the unsealed road to the resort. Quite a long dusty drive but the views were spectacular. Cafe served good coffee and reasonable food. Mountain bikers obviously having a great time. It was chilly with a cool wind so take a jacket.

We had no idea what to expect, being two chunky ladies with 3 relatively active teenage girls, relatively! It was a blast. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The food was great. We had the four bedroom apartment which was really well appointed, spacious enough not to invade each other's space. The activities were great, if a little expensive,... More

We did not really know what to expect but were blown away by these exhilarating karts and tracks. The whole operation was Extremely well organised with well maintained equipment and tracks. Teenagers loved the speed and falls were spectacular (and funny) but not dangerous. Really fun for parents too. Make sure you do this after the Queenstown luge (or instead)... More

During summer the Cardrona ski field transforms into a downhill bike park, utilizing the same chairlift that runs through the winter. It was our first time to the Cardrona bike park, as the Skyline bike park was closed. While more open and exposed than the Skyline bike park, the tracks are fun and there is a great mix of fast...
