Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I had two days of free time after a business trip to Orlando. This was the best thing I did in those two days. I drove the loop and loved it. Speed limit is 15 mph and I suggest going slower and keeping you eyes wide open. When you spot something just pull over and watch for a while. Can't under stand people saying they didn't see wildlife. It is everywhere if you look. I saw alligators and turtles, lots of beautiful dragonflies and butterflies, flowers and bees, egrets and hawks, and of course there is the whole landscape and the river to admire via a boardwalk.

The loop is around 10 miles but I took more than 2 hours to make my way around and enjoyed it hugely. I was thoroughly chilled out by the end and found a bit of Florida to love.

We travel around the State photographing wildlife and landscapes. Although this NWR is vast and away from the tourist area, the wildlife activity is sort of slow. The Nature Drive is a nice way to spend some time in the bush, but we left the cameras in the bag as we didn't see anything.

What a fantastic surprise. National Wildlife Refuges and National Forests seem to be where we find the most joy in nature. They are not overly crowded or commercialized as our National and State Parks tend to be so are an oasis of both beauty and tranquility. If you love nature, this area is stunning. Enjoy it while you're visiting.

We enjoyed the loop drive. There is a nice gazebo overlook on a pond partway around the drive. We saw wood storks and a kingfisher and lots of turtles. The road was well graded. You might want bug repellent if it is warm and not windy.

Vast expanse of old-growth forest and natural beauty; so much to explore. It felt like we were walking in nature’s cathedral.

We did the walking and driving trails. So beautiful! The Suwannee river is spectacular and the driving tour would be amazing to do via bike.

Make sure you type in the physical address and not the name of the park to get you to the trail, boardwalk, bat house, etc. If not, you end up on the other side of the Suwannee River and add about 50 miles of driving.

We have been here a few times in different seasons. In May, the swarms of bugs we’re unstoppable (even with bug spray), but we have had wonderful visits in February and October. The River Trail is an easy walk, even for our kindergartener. Much of the walk is on an elevated boardwalk. The swamp and river are beautiful and peaceful. The nature drive is fun but you may have to go off road a little as we did to go around a fallen tree. Once we drove through while they were doing a controlled burn which was fascinating.

We were in the area for a quick "one night truck tent" adventure, and before setting up camp we found the "Lower Suwannee Nature Drive" which was absolutely beautiful 9 mile drive through the Suwannee National Wildlife Refuge. It's a scenic drive with so many places to stop and get photos of nature. During the drive you will notice a BAT HOUSE and at Sunset the adult bats head out for insects and return back to feed their young. Although we did not see that due to the time we were there, I have seen many reviews on Trip Advisor of folks who have wittnessed it. So if you are looking to take a trip in Nature, this place is for you.
