Whilst the weather was not good it didn’t stop us from making the most of the opportunity to do this wonderful tour. What a legacy Sir Peter Jackson and the Lawrence family have left the people of The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings trilogies....More

The tour takes visitors through parts of the 'shire'. Fans of the Hobbit and Rings movies will love visiting Hobbiton and connecting the sets with scenes from the film. If you're not a fan the tour is still a delight. Situated within a farm, the...More

We were sceptical about this as am expensive tourist trap but decided to just do it anyway. It was a very enjoyable tour as the set really is just beautiful! Stunning flowers and plants and the Hobbit holes really are delightful! The beer at the...More

Finally managed to looked at the place where they shot the movie. The place is awesome. But i think too many visitors. Hardly can take photod without any human being in it. End with a complimentary drink.

I thought Hobbiton was going to be awesome... and it was. Plus some. We had the BEST tour guide, Sunny. He was funny, knowledgeable and frankly a joy to be around. You can't go to North Island New Zealand and not go to Hobbiton.

Amazing trip on set even if you're not a fan or haven't even seen the movies. The attention to detail, the work and effort to create this world is outstanding. Like Disney-land for movie fans of all ages. We visited in a particularly hot day...More

This is a very well-run tour operation from Rotorua. First class service all the way. I had booked an afternoon tour, but went in that morning as asked if I could switch to the morning tour. (Due to weather.) They said no problem, and I...More

We were lucky enough to visit Hobbiton on International Hobbit Day 2018 and with our guide, we were the last group to enter the movie set for the day. That means we were able to dawdle a little longer than most and after touring the...More

A must for Lord of the Rings fans. When movie come to life right in front of your eyes. My advise is to watch a Hobbit movie before you come so whatever the tour guide tells you, it will make sense. The guide is good....More

First things first: You pretty much have to do this as a part of a tour group to get tickets (I recommend Cheeky Kiwi). Hobbiton sells out well in advance so please check online and buy tickets before driving all the way out! They are...More

It would depend on how mobile that person is. Hobbiton is set in the side of a hill, but didn’t seem hilly to walk around. There was a walk from the set to the pub where they serve a drink and the bus picks you up again.

With almost all tours fully booked, I do not believe you can change the time, unless there is a cancellation. You only take your allotted bus at your tour time to the movie set. You then stay with your tour guide until you... More
