One of the three churches facing New Haven's Green, the church is worth a visit. If you are a tourist, stop in to see the gorgeous stain glass windows -- including 4 by Tiffany or the beautiful oak wood-work. If you can attend a service or a concert you will hear the 1920's organ featuing thousands of pipes and you will probably hear one of the three choirs: The Choir of Men & Boys established in the 1880s, the Choir of Men & Girls established in the 2000s or the Parish Choir. The first two are professional choirs that concertize and travel frequently. The Boys and Girls will be performing in England this summer.

This is one of the jewels of the New Haven Green. It's a beautiful old building with a history that goes back to the beginnings of this city. Meetings that changed the story of New Haven occurred here. One of the first places to break with the Puritan hierarchy of New England and also one with Abolitionist leanings. Stained glass windows and an altar that keeps your attention. Lovely quiet place for a history buff.

We attended a wedding at the church and enjoyed the beautiful sanctuary and music by the choir and organ. It is a great place for a wedding.

An interesting building located in an interesting place with an interesting history. The Green was once used as the main New Haven burial ground, but around 1821 the headstones were moved to the Grove Street Cemetery. Oddly, the bodies were not moved and are still below the Green. It is estimated that there are at least 5,000 people buried there, including James Pierpont, the founder of Yale University. The church is located on the Green.

While visiting New Haven we have walked by this Trinity Church several times but decided to go in. The doors are always opened. Really worth stopping in to pray, meditate or just to get some quiet time from the city. There are Tiffany stained glass windows to enjoy. We were greeting by a church staff person who gave us an impromptu history lesson. The church is known for its concerts and community involvement. The church offers stunning architecture that dates back to the 1800’s.

I didn't heed there warning not to go up in the balacony and got into trouble. I t was too funny but at the sametime unnerving. I wanted to take and overall photograph of the place but when I did bats flew out of everywhere. I honestly didn;t see the sign until the way down. Beautiful historic piece of architecture.

I went here in the evening for a lecture so I was not sight seeing. It is an Episcopal Church so it looks very traditional inside. There are still box pews (pews with doors on them) which is interesting. Most places have ripped those out. It is clean and well kept up. Have a look if it is open. A service would probably be OK with the pews because you are up and down. Good job the lecture was interesting of I might have started to feel very sorry for myself.

This church on the new haven green was built at the same time as its two classical brick neighbors and was considered modern in 1814. It s a treat to see the Tiffany windows on a sunny day and hear either the boys or girls choirs. The Christmas events are memorable.

Such beautiful churches are what adds to the romanticism of the US countryside, and small cities. Its made of stone and wood, and is quite spacious inside.

We kind of stumbled upon this church and I'm glad we did. It was on the green and offered some great photography spots.
