- DanielTurner1979Mossley, United Kingdom43 contributionsGreat fun and experience clay pigeon shooting especially for my teenage sonBooked Clay Pigeon shooting for me, my partner and teenage son. My son is now old enough to do this and so he was really looking forward to this. We all had a great time and our instructor was great. Very helpful and showed us all how to improve with hints and tips. He was a good laugh and made the experience a great one. My teenage son won and now I won’t hear the end of it haha! Great fun.Visited October 2023Travelled with familyWritten 26 October 2023
- Zach WKing's Lynn, United Kingdom2 contributionsFantastic funFantastic time had by all. Great fun and beautiful scenery. David was helpful and informative. He stopped a couple of times to show and tell us things. Lovely seeing the cows who didn’t take a blond bit of notice of us.Visited February 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 23 February 2024
- Kate AKilmarnock, United Kingdom2 contributions1 Hour TripMy partner booked the hour long trip as a birthday suprise for me. It was just the two of us on the tour. The sun was shining and the weather was dry so we were already in for a good trip! David is an absolute pro and from the start makes you feel at ease. The tour was informative, safe and above all else so much fun. Poor David was so patient with us when we kept forgetting the sequence of the buttons and we all shared in a good giggle at a certain point of the tour!! He was so accommodating and absolutely gave us value for money. Thank you again, we will be back!Visited April 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 24 April 2024
- David S1 contributionQuadmania A+++Booked the 1 1/2 hour quad bike and clay pigeon shooting for myself and my son. Went yesterday 27/07/24. Had an amazing afternoon. Very welcoming and friendly, safety brief and how to work the quads was explained and made it easy for those who hadn't used a quad before. Beautiful scenery and a great track. The clay shooting was excellent, again safety was of paramount importance and it was made clear what to do and what not to do. Everything was explained in full. If you’ve never tried either activity I’d highly recomend Quadmania Dunoon. Thanks to David and Rory, we will be back again.Visited July 2024Travelled with familyWritten 28 July 2024
- Laura H2 contributionsQuadmania highly recommendWhat a brilliant quad bike adventure. It was a great day out, our instructor David was excellent, really friendly and helpful, he made the experience fun but safe at the same time. I would highly recommend this. We will be booking again when we next visit. We had a great sunny day and the views were stunning.Visited July 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 30 July 2024
- Kyle F2 contributionsAMAZING quad bike experience with stunning viewsAMAZING !! Loved it so much we rebooked for the same week the views were spectacular on the quad bike trek my teenage kids loved it . Was a bit sceptical with my 14 year old daughter but David the instructor was brilliant explained everything clearly and made you feel comfortable and confident before you hit the trail . And WOW well worth the money will definitely re visit .Visited August 2024Travelled with familyWritten 16 August 2024
- mehrnoush b1 contributionWorth every pennyAbsolutely fantastic. Thanks to Rory, we were placed in the next available group. Our instructor David was incredibly friendly and patient, ensuring our safety throughout with a thorough explanation and practice. We were provided with fitted helmets and could rent gloves, waterproof trousers, welly boots, etc. for £3. The actual quadbikes were very powerful and went through all terrains from rock to water with no problem. The route itself was simply spectacular. The views were breathtaking. Words cannot do our experience justice. In all honesty, we are considering going again before we leave Scotland. I cannot express how much I would recommend Quadmania. Whether going alone, with friends, or family, you will get a rush of adrenaline and an experience like no other. 5/5 ⭐Visited August 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 20 August 2024

Even tho it was raining Throughout the session I thoroughly enjoyed it and we will be back next month for sure! It was the best part of our holiday (and the rest was pretty special) Dave is a brilliant guide and makes sure everyone is fully competent and safe before the trek begins. The scenery is breathtaking and Dave gave us time for some photo opportunities. First time on a quad bike and it won't be my last! Thanks for a brilliant experience Dave. Throughout the experience I was trying to reach a one word conclusion to summarise how it felt. That word would have to be ‘tame’.
For those that are nervous, overly cautious, and complete beginners, this is ideal for introducing them to a quad bike. If you have spent more than 30 minutes on a quad bike however, you’ll find this experience to be of extremely poor value.
We were a group of 6 and were advised that for the date we inquired, the only available session was 1.5 hours long. Paying £348 for 6 people to follow the overly strict instructor around for an hour felt rather like a con.
I would also like to point out as a area of constructive feedback that the instructor David was dry and on a couple occasions rude towards some of our party. Upon arrival, he wasn’t fond of our jumpers and shorts clothing approach and as such a number of us opted to spend additional money hiring clothing - much to the ‘hassle’ of David. I can assure you that none of the equipment hired (boots and waterproofs) were required despite David’s advise.
Not only would I choose not to recommend booking here, I would actively advise against people parting ways with such sums of money in return for such a physically boring experience. All we have taken away from this is a desire for a refund and bad taste in our mouths!

The worst kind of people you can deal with. Sadly lead by pound signs, think carefully before booking, I certainly wouldn’t entertain these people or book here in the future.
We were forced to cancel due to a family member being seriously ill and requiring ongoing treatment, after appearing sympathetic and agreeing to move the booking, every time we tried to do this we were asked for another deposit.
Thanks so much for no help and the pathetic £75 you refunded us from a £755 booking.
Disgusting

The above review for Quadmania is inaccurate for the identity of this business. We have established that the review posted was instead for self-catering holiday property under an entirely separate business which is operated from this address however – the directors at Quadmania are also involved with the operation of the holiday self-catering properties. For clarity – Quadmania’s business only active with outdoor activities.
The booking for the holiday property was cancelled only 10 days prior to the arrival date scheduled during the Christmas week due to a family member being unwell. The cancellation policy states 10% refund with this period of notice for cancellation.
Due to the circumstances of the cancellation, a decision was taken by the self-catering business owners to allow the guest to reschedule their booking during any off-peak period over the next 12 months free of any charge or receive 60% off for a rescheduled booking made within the peak period over the same time period.
The above offer was entirely down to a good will gesture which has instead been revoked by the guest because instead would only settle for a full refund or a completely free of charge reschedule to a peak period.
Due to the fact the guest was not content with any reschedule offer, the appropriate 10% return of funds was the only option.
The businesses that we operate are family run and have always operated in fairness and absolutely repute any wrongdoing by the business operators.
We have remained sympathetic to the above reviewer throughout correspondence, and we wish a good outcome for the family.

Went as a family on the 1.5 hour ride.
David was very patient with my daughter who was very nervous.
He ensured everyone in the group was able and ready to ride the quads safely before setting off on what was an excellent off road ride through forest, water, steep hills and tracks.
A really enjoyable experience for our holiday that we would definitely recommend.

We booked into Quadmania as a friends and family group of 8, 4 adults and 4 teenagers (17-14). We shot clay pigeon on Tuesday and rode quads on Wednesday. We were welcomed by Scot who was one of the instructors, he informed us the shooting was up the hill about 200m away and if we wanted we could drive up, so we did and met him up there. He introduced himself and showed us both Shotguns and explained how to handle and shoot them. We were given glasses and ear plugs before we started. We let him know we were competing against each other (family v family) he liked this as he encourages it as it makes for a better experience. Each trap was in a different place and launched the clays at a different angle, this was challenging and fun. I got 8 clays on my first attempt at point A. While the others were shooting I noticed Scot was assessing their shooting and advising them on things to change, this made the shooting better and more fun.The weather was great and views were stunning. Scot was friendly, polite and professional and his banter was good. We all had a great time and will definitely be back again. Cheers guys👍

Guys you need to do this. Scott the guide for the day was on the ball.
No this was a hassle we were told everything and shown everything before we went on the quad bikes.
Felt very safe at all times
I would well recommend this but if you can take the longer treck the 1.5hrs was good but I wanted to do more.
You will get wet. You will get mucky but that's half the fun.

We booked the 1.5 hour quad biking experience as a bit of fun whilst we were staying in the local area. It did not disappoint! David was thorough with his safety briefing and general competence overview ensuring that all the participants in the larger group were comfortable and familiar with operating their bikes. Rory was then enlisted to offer some additional support - what a gem he is - endless patience and a watchful eye! The scenery was stunning and there was an opportunity for a photo stop to capture the memory. Highly recommend if you are looking for something a little bit different to do.

After being apprehensive at first as never drove a quad bike before I absolutely loved this experience!!! We were given clear instructions and had some practice before going onto the trails. The views were breathtaking and driving up and down the hills gave us butterflies. After stopping at the top for some pictures and to take in the view we went on another trails through the woods and we got to drive through lots of puddles (my personal favourite part). Would recommend this place so much and our instructor David was so lovely and professional. Already planning on going back it was that good! Thanks again.

This was an enjoyable afternoon but could have been better. Some of the Quads were starting to look their age and needed some love and attention. Clothing and gloves were only provided when you asked.
We were booked in for the 2.5 hour ride that was cut short. Our guide Scott go annoyed when the other people on the group weren't ready. It would have been nice to stop to take some photos of the lovely scenery.
Overall it was a good afternoon but could have been better.

We are a family of 4 and stayed at one of the lovely stronchullin farm cottages and decided to try the archery. Went this morning and had a great time with the instructor Scott who was knowledgeable and enhanced our great experience. We would have done the quad bikes but my son was too young. I would highly recommend families try it out when visiting the area.

Hi, do you need to book the quad bikes in advance, as I am just going on a daytrip to dunoon. Also can you let me know the cost to hire for 2adults & one child who is 15yr old. Thanks, Angela!

yes best to book we thought to wait and see the weather but really this is a must in all weather as they provide wellies and waterproofs but if in the area worth a call in ....super staff and ably curb too ambitious teens

I am planning on a day visit with family to dunoon. Just like to know if quad bikes have to be booked in advance and how much per person by the hour, if so? My boy would love this. So would his dad. Lol. Thanks! Angela.
Written 30 July 2015
Hi Angela! Yes, the quad bikes need to be booked in advance to make sure we have availability. There are three trek types: the Quad Adventure Trek is 1.5 hours and £45pp; the Monster Quad ATV Trek is 2 hours and £70pp; and the Mammoth Quad ATV Trek is 2.5 hours and £95pp. There are also age limits for each trek, the Quad Adenture is a minimum of 12 years old, the Monster Quad is a minimum of 16 and for the Mammoth you must all be 18 or over. If you'd like to book, just give the office a call on 01369 810289! Hope to see you soon.
