We perform checks on reviews.
Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stopped in for a couple of pints before getting the bis back to the ferry port.
I always enjoy visiting this bar when in Millport.

Nice place for a pint/coffee/soft drink after cycling round the island. The bus to the ferry stops right outside, very handy.

very welcoming, clean and nicely de orated pub. The best bit was funding that the landlord had known me at school, more than fifty years ago!

My wife and I went for a walk round Cumbrae on Tuesday and after just over five miles we eventually arrived in Millport. This was the first place we came to and we decided to sit outside for a drink. We were not that hungry so we decided to just have a snack. From the starters menu we ordered the chicken strips. What we expected was the usual pub fare of freezer to frier - what we got was lovely fresh chicken coated in the crispiest batter I have ever tasted. What a result. On top of that the staff were first class - friendly, chatty and efficient. Next time we walk round Cumbrae we will definitely go back. Well done guys.

A group of 16 golfers went in after a great day of golfing, had a few drinks in the beer garden, a little sing song to finish off the day, and got asked to leave by the land lady, as we were waking up the residents at 18-10pm on a Saturday night, was not impressed, and would recommend to any one

Absolutely fantastic hogmanay party at the George. Staff friendly, entertainment by Maran n Monroe superb and atmosphere electric. The host even provided a wee nip at the bells. Here’s to next year. Best party in Millport.
