Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Gorgeous little cathedral tucked away in Millport. We enjoyed a quick visit with our kids and they mainly enjoyed playing in the cute garden and woodland surrounds. Truly quaint and beautiful

We visited the Cathedral for Sunday eucharistic. A small and very beautiful building with a friendly and welcoming congregation. Lovely music to accompany the service and we would have liked to attend one of the music recitals in during August 2023.

Quaint and beautiful. Lots of interesting musical instruments and historic tales. Peaceful well cared for grounds to relax in too.

This cathedral nominally said to be the smallest in Scotland is delightful. Seating only 70 people but in grand style. The grounds are well kept and easily found with good signage.

The Cathedral of the Isles is a must-see for any visitor to Millport whether or not you are religious. It's quite a climb up to the cathedral, so appropriate footwear would be a bonus. The view from the steps in front of the cathedral is beautiful and then you enter into the serenity of this tiny church. The ornate carvings are marvellous and if you are spiritually inclined you can't help but feel empowered by the serenity of the cathedral. There's a lot more to Millport than sun, sand and ice creams.

You find the friendliest of people here and it is the loveliest of buildings that really dominates the skyline with it's spire

As stated, wondered why its a cathedral? Nice church but been to nicer. We wanted to light a candle (my wife's uncle and mother had passed away) but there were no matches to light them with. Summed up our visit. No parking and access up to the church uneven underfoot.

This little Cathedral is well worth a visit. It belongs to the Episcopal Church congregation and continues as a place of worship.
it's a large looking building but tiny inside. it has amazing stain glass windows, wall tiles and paintings. There is a feeling of tranquility throughout the building especially in the Lady Chapel.
There are concerts and music throughout the year with a varied programme.
Take time to visit this lovely place when on the island.

The view of the cathedral and accommodation as we walked through the trees was stunning. Excellent welcome in the cloisters and made to feel very welcome. Stayed in ‘charity’ room. En-suite as described. As we were staying in a historic building we were not expecting 5 star but the room was comfortable. Only quibble would be that on one of the coldest nights of the year so far there was no extra blankets available. Breakfast was superb. Great choice, fresh and delicious served in the amazing surroundings. We enjoyed relaxing in the common room and plentiful supply of hot drinks, home baking, biscuits and fruit.
