Lovely isle, lots of festivals over the course of the year.
Small campervan site behind the Garrison, why points learn disposal etc, only a small site so book early.
Parking available right along the sea front, public toilets available.
Lots of quirky shops, bars and eating places.
99.9% of the island residents are lovely, welcoming and fun, unfortunately the percentage that wasnt, was rude confrontational and a pain, (Colin), did not like people parking across the road from his house, in the sea front, even though it is council owned. He swore at the campervaners, reved his engine at 7am in the morning, and blasted his van horn. Well known by islanders for being obnoxious.
Well worth a visit to the island, plenty to do and see, just be careful where you park on Glasgow Street to avoid Colin lol

Like a lot on cumbrae of what to do the walks and other attractions seem far better than a rock with a painted face.
Seriously who over 8 would want their pic taken.
Mmm OK clearly I am old grumpy but unless you have kids drive by and do any of the other things the island has to offer.

Last picture l had on this rock was with my two children who are now 37 and 34. At that time they were 6 and 3!! Still managed to climb on!!

Very fun, and comical feature of Millport. Very fun to take a photo of. Would recommend to go and see if passing through Millport.

You can't miss the rock on the sea front and it does actually look like a crocodile too. It is a popular photo shoot and the kids love scrambling and playing on it.

If you go to Millport, you just have to climb on the crocodile for a ride - it's tradition! One my partner (in his 60s) and I (50s) were delighted to uphold on our most recent visit, so it really is for kids of all ages ;-)
