Drive along the road by the collery and you are likely to miss it. It needs better signing. Park up when u have found it and you are in for a treat. Down in mine and the huge gear on site to the 'library museum'...More

I would highly recommend you get a guided tour of this colliery as it really brings it alive - our enthusiastic and extremely knowledgable guide was superb and gave us an insight into its rise and decline and the stories of the men and boys...More

So much to see here. Well worth a visit if you are interested in coal mining and the social history of the area.

Only live local but our on an afternoon drive and come across this museum. An excellent insight to the mining scene throughout the South Wales valleys and well worth a visit. Definitely be returning with future visitors of ours. Thank you 😁😁

Took my 3 granddaughters to visit the museum and we had a fab day I showed them were their grandfather worked underground and we sat in the picnic area by the steam train for a picnic , in the afternoon we watched the model railway...More

We had lovely day here with my daughter she loves it here the model railway is her favourite she loves the tea room and we love that she learns about her local area and the history

hello, sorry we cannot go down the shafts, as they are flooded, we do have an underground gallery that gives the feel of being underground
