Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is exactly the sort of specialty shop that I want to visit when I travel. It is a small and very welcoming shop. The first thing you see when you go in is a plethora of paintings, carvings and jewelry - most are done by local artists but there are works from Native Americans as well.

You can also find a good selection of coffee and tea cups (both for the house and for on-the-go). I love the mate bombilla (wooden or stainless steel straws). They were made for yerba mate - but they make a great thing to use in your travel mug is you like to drink whole leaf brewed teas. This is something I bought here that has made travel easier for me.

Of course the shop smells wonderful The back half of the store is dedicated to a really amazing selection of herbs, spices and teas (both traditional and herbal teas).

When I travel - I love picking up interesting herbs and teas and spices so I have culinary memories of my trip!

Their herbal tea mixes were delicious! The employees were kind, too. I recommend the Chocolate Strawberry & Alpen Mulled Wine tea.

I absolutely love this place! Before I moved back to GJ, I would make it a point to stop in every time I was in town to grab some of the amazing teas, and since I keep them in air-tight mason jars, I would stock up to make sure I had enough to last!

I stopped by this shop today on my way to a different favorite place in the same block. I vaguely remembered a friend from Aspen telling me this was one place she always stopped at in Grand Junction.

From the street, it just looked like one more gift shop like the ones at the big gas stations along I 70, but I went in any way, just out of curiosity. I just looked around for anything special, while the lady was doing something in the back part of the store, which involved putting something in a bottle like the ones natural food stores have for liquid vitamins.
Then, as I stood there, I noticed shelves with dozens of jars, each labeled with a different kind of tea that I knew came from all tea growing regions in the world.
As I started looking more closely at some of the containers, and various liquid herbs, and little bottles of essential oils on the counter, I began to realize that this place is like a combination tea and spice store that I've only found online, and they are all right there for you to choose from.
In retrospect, it reminds me of one of the shops in Harry Potter's wizards street, except that they are all herbs and spices that any gourmet cook would recognize. Even different colored salts from all over the world. And, it kept getting better, until I stumbled upon the unique shelf full of Vermont maple syrup, in a dozen different flavors.
Now I know that maple syrup doesn't come in "flavors." But here I see it with all of the flavors I usually mix with the syrup on my oatmeal.

I think I must have been entertaining to the gal behind the counter because I suddenly realized that there were multiple small sample bottles with different flavors.
Suddenly, I had a great time doing something I have never imagined. Instead of wine, or whiskey tasting, we had a maple syrup tasting. My favorite is the maple, cinnamon, vanilla mix because that would be impossible to replicate at home.

We wandered in Willow Creek and fell in love with the place. The lady working there literally fixed my insomnia issues with her sleepy tea. She also has wonderful herbs, rubs, lotions etc.
