So very interesting to see how people lived back in the 1800’s. The dentist and the doctor’s house made my eyes water when looking at the exhibits. So grateful for what we have today. All in all a great experience. Highly recommend this.

A great place to spend a couple of hours touring this old style wild-west town. The place is very authentic and worth a visit

We spent nearly 3 hours here on a sunny afternoon. Not just an open-air museum of a period town, there is also an Indian arrowhead collection, a small display of local animal taxidermy, a spooky doll collection, general store with a genuine old stinky cheese,...More

Kind of forced the Mrs and 20 year old son to join me for a visit to this place. After all, it is kind of a dad role to make the family stop and random educational places. I very much enjoyed all the exhibits and...More

My family spent almost 3 hours touring this “ghost town”. This is a wonderful museum dedicated to the mining villages of the gold rush era. With over 40 buildings it is well worth the 10 dollar admission. We went early morning and were the only...More

We were visiting family in Dillon and they mentioned South Park City. It sounded cool, so we made plans to check it out. The reality of South Park City blew us away. The area was mostly self-guided and almost entirely accessible (not many closed doors...More

South Park gives one a very good idea of what life was like in a mine town around the end of the 18th century, The collection of buildings shows what a community was like and the activities needed to exist. Buildings include a church, post...More

We spent a lovely afternoon experiencing the museum. The location in Fair Play is picturesque and the tour is self guided. We loved exploring each building and getting an idea of early settlers in this area. Fair Play is a short drive from Breckenridge.
