The concierge at hotel informed of things happening while in downtown Denver; this was the largest gathering of food trucks in the metro Denver area. After museum visit, stopped by to see what was there. The park area was quite pleasant & accommodated the large...More

One of the best things about City Park is the walking paths are numerous, but well groomed. Making for an easy mile loop if that is all you want, or a four mile loop. Based on what you want you can wander the outside path...More

City Park has some of the best (if not) views in Denver. The high rise buildings of Denver outlined against the mountains is stunning. You can walk around the lake, take a paddle boat out on the lake, play on the play ground or run...More

This park is located in the same area as the science/natural history museum and the zoo so you can do all three while there! The park was beautiful and I enjoyed the MLK quotes they have in stone. There are a lot of Canadian geese...More

City Park has great open spaces, and beautiful little lakes. There are plenty of benches surrounding the lake, allowing visitors to relax and enjoy the view. Beware if you are waking through the grassy areas. There are large amounts of duck poop in the grass.

Spent two days riding the surrey pedal boats and cycles. The lake was interesting, especially because of the island with interesting birds, and the water display shooting out. My grandson was steering the boat, and, of course, went too close to the water spray -...More

Rent a B-cycle and take it on the Cherry Creek Trail. You can go miles without any worry of cars! Denver is really flat so just because it is next to the mountains does not mean there are hills in town. It's really a fun...More

Good answer. I'd just add that the museum and zoo both have ample parking (and flank the park on two sides). Those parking lots can be crowded on weekends and during special events. Even when busy, though, both have... More
