LoDo, or Lower Downtown, is a neighborhood in Denver, Colorado, that is known for its nightlife and as an example of success in urban development and revitalization. Historically, Native Americans established encampments along the South Platte River near or in what is now LoDo. In...More
We visited Denver in October 2018 during a memorable road trip to the U.S. Southwest. The LoDo area (lower downtown), is the historic district of old Denver and extends from about Larimer to past Union Station and from about 20th Street to Cherry Creek and...More
LoDo is very similar to any well-done, revitalized downtown, with proximity to a transit hub, affluent young professionals, a good collection of bars and restaurants (most of which are overpriced and underwhelming) and new architecture mixed in with historical foundations.
It's safe, everything's close by,...More
If you visit Denver don't miss LoDo which is the lower downtown area. Full of restaurants, shopping, theaters and fun night life venues. There is a trolley that runs up and down the street with easy get on and off wherever you want and a safe...More

There are many hotels near LoDo (walking distance or short Uber/Cab ride)... not so many in LoDo itself! The most affordable decent hotels will run you US$150 per room per night! I recommend that you go on Trivago and search for Denver for the date you want and once you have the selection, go to the map where it will show you what is available near LoDo (area near Union Station and Coors Fields). Good luck!
