Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Come and take a look if you're interested in the history of the area. It's not a very famous tourist spot, but it's worth visiting. I visited here at noon, and some local people would sell food and fruit in the market. Try some local food, too.

Bukit Perahu or Perahu hill is located at Tamparuli town. We went there during our mid term break. So called small vacation. Lol. Im glad I joined that hiking. Eventhough hiking the hill is difficult for a not-so-fit person like me but its like a Stress reliever for me (cause im so sweaty. Toxic2. Lol). The sunset view from the hill is spectacular. This hill is not well known yet but local people that live around there used to climb up the hill just to see the sunset. No need guides. No need expensive packages. All u need to do is rent a car to Tamparuli town. Go to Jalan tamparuli tokob. Go straight until u find a signboard (stating Victoria church). If u cant find the starting point, just ask the local there, they very friendly. Here. I have some picture for u guys to see..

The bridge doesn't require any fees. Try to visit on a Wednesday then you can visit the 'Tamu' - the area's market fair. Killing two birds with one stone.

We stopped here on our way to Kundasang. We parked near Kiulu River and walked across the bridge. At the other side, there is Tamparuli Market and we bought some local fruits and local foods. We take a break and had some drinks at a stall near the market.

We passed Tamparuli town on the way to Kinabalu Park and stopped for a walk on this suspension bridge. Walking across the bridge with the cars below passing underneath across the Sungai Kiulu is a nice experience. Good photo opportunity with the bright yellow National Geographic frame :) At the other end, we were greeted by the Tamparuli market that had everything from fresh vegetables to dried salted fish to local kuihs.

Went there hours ago, was raining and the swings of the bridge was made worse by the local who need to dash across the bridge.
It appears to me that local council is not interested in upkeeping the bridge which is now an icon for Tamparuli.
Nevertheless, its worth a visit.
