ORIGINAL REVIEW: (10/27/22) I chose Genesis based on the (mostly) excellent reviews. I am a physician myself, and have been doing Botox for quite awhile, and filler for almost as long. It's not something I want to mess around with "getting a deal" on. I want experienced technicians who know what they are doing. My last Med Spa (in Honolulu) employed certified technicians under the guidance of a highly-rated plastic surgeon. My particular technician, Stacey, attended conferences every few months and they also conducted on-going in-house training of staff. Stacey was excellent! Polite, precise but at the same time quick and efficient with a needle. There was minimal pain (despite the fact that I don't typically use any numbing medication). I was hoping for same at Genesis, now that I have relocated to Colorado. My appointment was Oct 13th. I brought in a diagram of my previous treatment top help guide the genesis technician. I got the sense that the technician was insulted or somehow put-off by this (note: as a doctor, I have had countless patients tell me about their previous experiences and what worked and what didn't - it has never offended me in any way). The appointment went fairly, otherwise. There was a a bit more pain that I've experienced before and a bit more bruising and lumpiness - all of which resolved within 1-2 days. When checking out, I was offered a 2-week follow-up appointment. I have never pre-scheduled a "touch-up" appointment before (only 2 or 3 times in 10+ years have I had to return, before 3-4 months, for touching-up - and these were always booked after-the-fact, based on my own assessment that I needed a touch-up) - but it seemed to be the standard practice at Genesis, so I booked the 2-week follow-up. After about 10 days passed, I realized that, as is typical for me, I had no need of a 2-week follow-up. I should have canceled the follow-up immediately but I was out of town at the time, on business trip, working 14-16 hour days. Time can get away from you... But, no worries! I signed up for appointment notifications, so I felt confident that I would either cancel the appointment in time or simply go to the appointment, if too late to cancel. Well, I received a message this morning that I missed my appointment and was charged a $50 missed appointment fee. What happened to the notifications?? The front desk clerk informed me that "looks like you opted-out of these on Oct 10th". My appointment was OCTOBER 13 (at which time I indicated on my intake paperwork that I WANTED TO RECEIVE APPOINTMENT NOTIFICATIONS). But Genesis staff tells me that I opted out on Oct 10th. Oct 10th comes BEFORE Oct 13th. What am I missing here? Aside from $50? REVIEW UPDATE: (11/17/22) I was refunded $50 by Genesis Spa at end of October (did not notice the refund nor the voice message from the Spa's director on my cell phone just a few days ago). I appreciate that Genesis gave me a refund. And the call from their director was above and beyond. I am sure that Genesis Spa is the right spa for many people (as indicated by its many glowing reviews). As for me: first impressions set a tone, so, unfortunately, I don't think Genesis is the right spa for me.

Hopefully I save your beautiful face. I got a chemical peel here it was my first time. I was really excited about it that I document the whole process but as I was peeling. I started to notice burns bad Burns in my eyebrows and in-between and side of my face and my forehead. My nose was bad too. I have gotten other treatments here before. I am terrified to get anything else done because our faces are the hardest to cover up. I had to go back to work looking like I've been in a fire or something. Just wanted to warn you because I put my face in their hands naively and trusting.

I went back to talk about what happened and got told that maybe I put to much Vaseline on and caused my side affects. I researched and my routine was simple I wanted the best results. I didn't cause it they did. I hope for the best journey because I don't wish this on anyone. This was really hard to share but I don't want anyone's else's face ruined.

The free skin care analysis is interesting. The tech or consultant recommends cosmetic treatments but the actual doctor you see may give you better options. I would advise seeing one of them. Both doctors are progressive and sincerely interested in giving you the treatment best for you within your budget. The skin club is a great option for facials with extras that you can add on. Products sold are quality, high end. I look forward to returning for my next facial.

If you are looking a great Med Spa then this is one you should check out. My wife and I have been coming here for the past 6 years and have had great service and results. Nothing is 100% so you need to understand that know that when you walk into the door you are not going out 20 years younger but you will feel and look better basic on the treatment you received. This is not a dermatologist so if that is what you are looking for then go see one. I've had two CORE procedures and am on the skin fitness plan and for a male I feel and look better. Some treatments work better on different folks our skin is different, if a treatment didn't work as you thought was suppose to then talk with Dr Jenks and her staff and i am sure they will work with you to determine if a different treatment will provide you the results your looking for. Prices are reasonable and they are always having specials. Looking young is not cheap. TW

I have been going to Genesis since I moved here in November and I really don't have anything negative to say. Ive been getting Botox, peels and products from Genesis and had one issue which was quickly resolved by the staff and I was very satisfied with the resolution. My skin hasn't looked this good in a long time. I don't consider myself "high class" or "high income", I saw another review mentioning issues with being treated differently and I just haven't seen that, everyone has been great. Wanted to add my two cents. I'm 37 and do some youtube focusing on a book series that I read and have been getting compliments on my youthful appearance in the comments... I provided a pic of one of the screenshots from the comments section, its definitely a confirmation of the work I have been putting in on my skin.

Had visited Genesis Med-spa a few times over the years. I switched and went to a real dermatologist after running into some problems with treatments I received. One time after Botox, I had a very droopy eye that wouldn't open (wrong injection technique or too much). I also had Ultherapy which was great at first. After less than a year it was like my face was melting and losing fat off my face. The final straw came when they gave me Botox on one side on my cheek only and it made me look like I had a stroke as it relaxed the muscles on that side of the face. I would highly suggest you go to a real dermatologist.

Back in Feb I had the Vaser Liposuction done by Dr. Jenks on my arms and back fat. The office is BEAUTIFUL and the staff was super nice but the actual procedure left me scared and soooo embarrassed to be seen in public. On the day of the procedure the nurse told me to take two of the pills that they give you, to help you relax and pretty much make you unable to feel anything. Then she takes you back to the area where the procedure will be done. They give you some shots of lidocaine in the areas which of course is supposed to totally numb you. When she started with the wand I expressed to the nurse and the Dr that I could feel everything. She put more and more lidocaine into me. The procedure was about 45 mins and I felt everything and I can tell you it was the worse feeling I could ever imagine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! From the start they told me I could go back to work that very day if I wanted WRONG I was out of work for a week and in A LOT of pain. When I went back on day 2 for my follow up I expressed concern about these burn marks I had on my arm it looked as if someone put a cigarette out on my arm several times. They told me that was normal and it would go away. Well I am almost 6 months post and my arms look 1000000 times WORSE and I have about 8 burn scars on my arm!! They are also lumpy. I cry almost every single day when I have to look in the mirror because I paid over 4k for a procedure that RUINED my arms not made them better :( I am very very sickened that professionals would do this to someone :(

I would like to start off by saying that I am not a high class income member and yes I was treated differently. I came in to see Genesis Medspa back in 2012 for a living social deal for Dermaplane. I thought that things went well so I wanted to get their professional opinion for skin issues on my face in August 2015. I was told that I had a form of melanoma and was recommended the melanage peel and told I qualified for a discount. There was no communication of how much the discount was. A month later I received and paid for my treatment. I was provided little information about follow-up care. (Causing me an extra trip due to not being told to bring in my skin cream to add medication to it.) I also was told to come in for another follow up visit where the staff was “unsure” why I was there. So I went with them providing me information on skin creams. I purchased some products, which at no time was I ever provided an itemized bill to know what all I was paying for. They sent me a bill in the mail over 6 months after my visit for $360. I called them trying to figure out what it was for and I was hung up on and placed on hold multiple times. I continued to pursue the issue and it was difficult to get a hold of Mrs. Julie Brooks (staff member that sent me the bill) who was rarely in the office. I have visited the office to ask for copies of all my records and to speak with them about this. I only received 7 pages of my record from 2012 and did not get to speak with anyone who knew anything. Dr. Jenks communicated only by e-mail stating it was their mistake and then only provided me 3 pages of my care. It is almost a year since my initial visit and I still don’t have all my information or clarification on why their mistake is found this far in the future and all I get is a bill in the mail. Now they are threatening to send the bill to debt collectors. I still HAVE NOT been able to speak personally with any staff member or receive all of this documentation.
