Paved trail with many informative signs, benches, etc. If you begin at the regional park, the last third of the trail is steep with switchbacks. Suggestion... do everyone a favor and leave your dog at home.

You can start your adventure at ether end (Glennshier or Truckee) of the trail. From Truckee @ the park, or East River Street, Glennshier end has parking, and views of Martis Vally, Rail Road, and Ice Ponds runes.
