Money grabbing! Google maps takes you to the wrong entrance. We got sent round by a staff member & given a paper map with inaccurate instructions to join a HUGE queue. Never waited so long to enter a park & it was a sign of things to come. Parking was expensive, then you have to wait for a tram to take you into the venue…this all took 2 hours & this is before the queue to show our tickets. Lack of staff everywhere to answer questions & to help, those who we did speak to didn’t know much. Toilets are busy with people changing & were unkept & unclean. Queues for rides were RIDICULOUS! Long long long wait times- over an hour in the blazing sun. When you get a tube/mat you then have to queue again. We got on 3 rides in 5 hours. Totally fed up. Not worth the money- $116 for tickets + $15 parking + $25 for parking & this was without food as again the queues were outrageous. Took us 30 mins in a queue to speak to someone to complain about our experience. Worst bit is, the rides weren’t even that good & about 1/4 of the rides were closed with no info on their website about this. Rubbish. Save your money & go elsewhere. Company needs to improve customer experience and cap visitor numbers as excuses of it being ‘hot, a weekend and short staffed’ are not good enough.

Well on the Dark Hole slide you basically have to wait in a line just to get a raft which takes about 20 min. Someone had thrown up (yes nasty) and about 1 hour later it was still there and not cleaned. Now I don’t want to be that person, but the employees were not very nice. They almost sounded like they didn’t care about the visitors. Not to mention the long lines. I had to wait about 45-55 minutes just for a 20 second ride. We also stood in line for 30 minutes to get a pizza and a Pepsi. Also the wave pool. HUGE disappointment. Usually wave pools have actual waves that would be at a beach. The wave pool was basically ripples that would get slightly bigger. Also the layout of the park is very confusing. My party and I spent a very long time trying to find certain slides

This is my opinion of raging waters. If you plan on going to a water park maybe go to Soak City or Wild Rivers when it opens

This place had very mean lifeguards and workers throughout the entire park. The lifeguards would weight shame people in front of other people at the park. And the other workers had attitude when asking them about rides or which way to go to get to certain amenities. Also if you weigh over 200 I'd say don't go you aren't getting on any of the fun rides or if you and one other person in your group is over 400 combined have fun in the lazy river.

Not worth the money or time. We took our 5 children here hoping for a fun family experience. The park is outdated, dirty, and more than a 1/4 of the rides were closed which resulted in 2-3 hour long waits in the hot sun. My kids were able to ride 3 waterslides in the 6 hours we were there. Also, in the 6 short hours we were there, 4 fights almost broke out between guests. Security was all over the park watching people and it was not a comforting or relaxing experience. It was NOT the type of experience I had hoped for. If you've been to Great Wolf Lodge, DO NOT expect anything close to the same kind of experience. I will not be returning.

Have 15 and 8 year olds. All love it equally. If you like thrills- plenty of rides, mine like more chill experience- and the park has plenty of that as well. Definitely buy a membership if you are planning in attending at least twice, and if you will buy food ( average price per plate $17), definitely invested in membership that gives you discount on purchases. Now park is cashless, so you need a card to pay for everything, including parking ( website still says “cash”, but doesn’t accept it).

Went as two mates from the UK, both in our early 40’s. Had read the negative reviews but we loved it. We Uber’d there and back so can’t comment on parking. Went on a Monday in august. Paid $60 each for entrance and food which in LA really isn’t that expensive. Crucially we got there about 20 minutes before it opened so were “beach ready” when the gates opened. We did about 8 rides alone in that first hour which was great and more than we thought we’d manage in the whole day having read the reviews. Rides are excellent, good choice. Yes queues got busier as the day went on (and for some reason a few were very slow so we left them) but you have to be realistic in august! Even then, some of the queues were not bad the whole day - we did the 8 lane race slide about 6 times as queues for the mats were less than 10 mins each time. Even less for Bermuda Triangle slides which are simple but decent. Staff seemed fine to me and food was ok (by usual low water park standards). It seems to me that most the complaints here are people being unrealistic in their expectations. It’s a great park with excellent rides…..just get their early, take a hat and flip flops for the queues (and maybe Uber your way in so you’re dropped near the entrance) and smile and enjoy it!!

We only had a positive experience of Raging Waters. Myself and 9 year old nephew attended during a weekday in early June. We found all the staff to be really helpful, friendly and chatty. My nephew banged his head (total accident) and was really impressed by prompt first aid and care he was provided.

On the day we were there there were no queues for anything and managed to get straight on the rides. All pool areas were clean, as were changing areas etc.

Food was good quality and good portion size with prices as you'd expect.

Only improvement would be to add in some WiFi to go online during down time when not in pool/water.

Absolutely horrible!!! Came for a trip with my family and raging waters totally disappointed us. If you’re looking for a real review here you go.
1. Park is dirty and the website sells you a dream.
2. Way too many people for one park and there isn’t enough supplies for everyone in the park.
3. We purchased the meal voucher and they gave us general admission which left us with no food.
4. Meal voucher and admission were the same price but they rip you off and tell you to pay for the voucher anyways.
5. Staff are all uselsss and need better training. We were mislead several times on how to get to the parking while others were given help. (We are black btw)
OVERALL TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE

What a dreadful experience! Google sent us to the wrong entrance and then when we were sent to the correct entrance it took us 2 hours to get there. The queues were horrendous and the staff very unhelpful. Would NOT recommend this place unless you have the whole day to wait queuing. We won’t be coming back! Very badly organised and a total rip off!!

I live in the area, and you can see from my previous review, this place has gone downhill. My last review a few years back was top notch. Apparently Raging Waters has been bought by a different corporation, thus it is NOT what it used to be.

I have a special needs son, with a special diet. Thus, according to the law, we are allowed to bring in food for our son. Security checked our bags at the entrance and told me no outside food is allowed in the park. I explained that my son has special dietary needs, and legally we are entitled to carry the food he needs to eat. The security guard once again told me no outside food. I then asked to speak to his supervisor because this kid did NOT know the law. He told me he was the supervisor. The kid was maybe twenty years old, and he was the supervisor? I tried to remain calm and remind him of the ADA and other laws that applied, and once again he told me no outside food allowed in the park, but we could get our hand stamped and go eat in the parking lot if we wanted. That is blatantly illegal, and simple naivete. In the end, I don't think the kid was trying to discriminate against people with special needs, I honestly don't think he knows the law. The disturbing part of this is that he's the supervisor.

A few hours later, after leaving my contraband food in the car I was walking around the water park without my shirt. In a different life I was a Marine Corp Scout Sniper, and I proudly bare my tattoo. I was stopped by security and asked to cover the tattoo because it appeared to be gang related. I explained the tattoo was from the gang known as the USMC, so the kid called for a supervisor to help resolve the issue. My "friend" the "supervisor" that did not allow me to bring in my son's diet showed up. I tried to be professional about the situation, but in the end, I was asked to cover the USMC tattoo or leave.

Do the kids working security mean to discriminate against special needs children and their veteran fathers? Honestly I don't think so. Unfortunately Raging Waters has been bought out by a larger corporation who is concerned about the bottom line at the expense of training their employees. I appreciate that Raging Waters does not allow gang tattoos in the park. But a two hour training session for the kids running security would easily enable these kids to be able to differentiate between a gang tattoo and a military tattoo. Also, by law I am allowed to carry special food for my son to meet his dietary needs. When I visit Disneyland, Knotts and other amusement parks, security always finds the food. I explain my situation, or they see my son, and they tell me to have a nice day, and send me on my way with my son's food. Unfortunately Raging Waters does NOT train their security staff, so you end up with untrained teenagers patrolling the park. Raging Waters is saving money hiring these kids, but they will end up paying when the lawsuits start rolling in from the unsafe conditions these kids have caused.
