Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Thanks for your fabulous words. Ee hope you do come again. Next time you won't need to bring wine as we are now fully licensed. Cheers

We had a fun trip with Lisa and Andrew, W learnt a lot about farming oysters and tried to shuck them, I must admit Brian and I were not so good at that part. Thankfully the lovely Chines lady next to me was very good and kept us well fed! We had fresh raw then BBQ in garlic butter oysters delicious. We would recommend this trip.

It was so interesting and also relaxing.

We went out for the 90 minute boat tour experience on a windy and sunny day. We were taken aboard the boat and were the only two on the tour for that day. (It’s usually very popular and booked up full, so we were lucky) Our captain was very friendly and informative. He did everything to make it a great experience for us. After motoring over to the oyster farm and learning about how they farm and harvest the oysters, we had as many raw oysters and cooked oysters off of the barbecue that we could eat! We ate dozens of oysters and they were delicious!! The scenery in the Bay is pretty amazing, too. The water is clean and clear, and has a beautiful azure tint. I would recommend this for couples, families, or groups. It’s a great value for a day on the water and a great meal of freshly harvested and shucked oysters!! Something not to be missed north of Auckland... Be sure to bring beer or wine, if you prefer that. (BYOB only) They provided water, juice and plenty of condiments along with the oysters, though.

Phil is a super friendly and funny guy who explained a lot of story and history on how to grow the oyster. We did have a lot of fun of shucking oyster on the boat with wines and beers. Very unique experience !! Highly recommended !!!!

Fantastic afternoon spent on the Shuckle Ferry. Wayne our skipper was excellent. Firstly we cruised over to the oyster Farm then Wayne waded through the water to get us some oysters. After a demonstration we then got to shuck and eat as many oysters as we liked washed down with a choice of wine, beer or juice. After a tour of the surrounding inlets and bays we returned to Scotts Landing wharf. The weather was perfect, the oysters delicious and our skipper and fellow passengers (only 2 others) were great company. I would definitely do this tour again - it was brilliant!
