- Joe GThousand Oaks, California2 contributionsAustin Hope In The VineyardWe caught a cool but sunny morning opening the morning tasting in an almost private shrub lined cabana over looking the brightly colored Grenache grapes in the vineyard. We tasted numerous wines with the Austin Hope Cabernet Sauvignon being a stand out. Purchase of wine will waive the tasting fee. If you haven't visited the winery it is well worth the time.Visited September 2023Travelled soloWritten 7 October 2023
- Kerri ForsytheOrange County, California348 contributionsOne of our favorite places to visit when in Paso.Always such a treat to sit on the patio facing the vines and watch the birds and world go by. The views are amazing and there is always a bird to see and hear. You can unwind and feel a little more relaxed and calm here. There is nothing pretentious about this place. It’s a beautiful experience and a fabulous atmosphere to explore.Visited January 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 24 January 2024
- Allan HGeorgetown, Canada1 contributionWine, Winding Roads and Whirlwind TripsMy wife and I were there on February 7th and arrived during a pretty wicked rainstorm. No worries on the amazing staff's part. We were greeted at our car with umbrellas and had a rose in our hands within the first minute. Seating on the beautiful patio (amazing views once the rain left) was obviously not an option so we were in the "barn" (which is a cool rustic bar area). Wes was tasked with finding out our tastes and bringing samples to us. He was amazing !!! Paced the tastings so well and didn't try to oversell us on some great wines that were out of our budget. Tried some robust reds, excellent sparkling wine and some full body whites as well. Wes hosted us like we were in his home. He is from the area, knows his wines and is truly passionate about what he does. Bought three bottles to take away and drank a great red with meats, grapes and cheeses outside in Arroyo Grande as we made our way back to San Diego. We packed a red and a white well in our suitcase to bring back to the Great White North. My wife and I travelled up the coast over a week and saw some amazing sights. The Austin Hope&Treana Tasting Seller was definitely one of the highlights of our trip and we thank their team and Wes for hosting us.Visited February 2024Travelled with familyWritten 14 February 2024
- DebWDublin, Ohio20 contributionsExcellent wine and serviceFirst tasting in Paso Robles and it was the best! Caught an early morning tasting that taught us a lot from a young man named Clayton. He was very well versed in the wines we tasted and even helped out my SIL who does not care for red wines and brought her white wines instead. The wines we tasted were interesting and delicious. We were welcomed on a wet morning and shown a table immediately. We were fortunate at getting a reservation as have heard they go fast. The tasting room is in a beautiful barn with all kinds of seating. You'll be hard pressed to find better wine in Paso Robles. Enjoy!Visited March 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 4 March 2024
- Melissa SMission Viejo, California9 contributionsBirthday afternoon wine tastingFirst, the property is beautiful. We had an afternoon cabana reservation for a tasting. It is a perfect setup with beautiful vineyard views. I was there on my birthday, and they had a nice card thanking me for celebrating my day with them. Mike (I sure hope this is right, I’m questioning my memory!!!) helped us through our tasting and was absolutely delightful. Knowledgeable, pleasant and moved things at a great, leisurely pace. The wines are fantastic. We ended up burying a couple of bottles, but had to rush to catch our shuttle when we picked them up. Much to my surprise, when we got home, Mike had added an additional bottle with a nice birthday message. I am so grateful we chose Austin hope to celebrate my birthday this year!!!!!Visited June 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 23 June 2024
- Janet MCordova, Tennessee816 contributionsVery Good Wines! We had a tasting of six (6) wines. Tasting fee is $25 per person but waived with a $100 purchase. We brought four (4) bottles of the Austin Hope Cabernet Sauvignon ($56.00 each). You can also purchase a Cheese and Charcuterie Box for $35.00. Let me start by saying that I had high hope for this winery. Especially since I love their wines.
First off we arrived 15-20 early and the staff was very happy to seat us early. That is where it all fell apart from then on it went down hill. We were sitting there for 30 minutes when we got a text asking us if we are running late and if we wanted to provide an ETA. Whe I responded and asked when out tasting was going to begin someone appeared. It is now 45 minutes after our reservation. The girl apologized and offered us a cheese box that by the way that was at least double the price of what it was worth. The bottom line is that when I went to pay the girl took 15 minutes to bring back our purchases.
The only thing that I have to say is that you don't need to go there unless you want to be ignored. There are plenty other wineries around who really want your business

This was a dream come true and surprise for me that. my daughter scheduled because I've loved Austin Hope Cab for several years. The trip lived up to my expectations - it was beautiful, great outdoor/indoor space and our server, Nicole was amazing and did a fantastic job explaining every wine in great detail. Because I am a member, the tasting is free and we enjoyed the cheese/goodie tray as well (which I'd recommend as you need food for the tasting). They even threw in some extra wines I wanted to try which was super nice and sent us home with a sparkling wine as a gift.
An added bonus was meeting Kim who has been guiding me for the past few years on my membership. It's a great deal to be a member here as you get 20% off and reduced shipping. The Austin Hope Cab is one of my all time favorite wines but I loved trying all the others too. Don't miss this one. I love Paso Robles wines.

This review is for our March 2019 visit (yes a bit late). We visited during Zinfandel weekend. We were told by several people to visit Treana/Hope Family Winery. I was so glad we did. I liked all of their wines but loved the Cab, and the Grenache was the absolute best Grenache I have ever tasted in my life. It brought a tear to my eye. But at $60 a bottle is a bit out of my price range. The Treana Red Blend is also very good. You literally cannot go wrong here. You will find something you love.
I will definitely come back every year that I visit Paso. The wines are just on another level compared to most other wineries in the area. I will also ask to revisit the Grenache, then buy a glass of it. It is that good. Is it rude to ask for two revisits? Amazing!

Austin Hope & Treana Tasting Cellar created an unforgettable wine tasting experience during our visit to Paso Robles. My wife, daughter and I listened and tasted the art of winemaking at Austin Hope. Marcy Noelte was expert in her storytelling and opened our minds to the hidden joys in passing our time with a glass of Hope. What an exhilarating memory, and we can’t wait to return!

This was our first visit to Paso Robles and Austin Hope & Treana was our first tasting we scheduled. The winery was beautiful, the wine was superb and the presentation was detailed and very informative. It set the standard very high for the tastings we visited over the next few days. This was our favorite tasting and as some others had good presentations, their wines were good as well. Austin Hope was the absolute best. Highly recommend this winery be on everyone's list when visiting Paso Robles. We will return here everytime we plan a trip to this area of wine country.

Tyler was gracious and professional as he presented the Austin Hope wine portfolio and share their story. The wines align with our group’s palates for clean bold starts and finishes. Worth the trip!

Troublemaker has been my favorite wine for several years, so we were thrilled that we could visit and go wine tasting at Austin Hope in Paso Robles! When booking online, I put that we were celebrating our birthdays, so they had a sign on our table welcoming us by first names and celebrating us. Our server was very personable and knowledgeable. She up-sold us a charcuterie box, which was delicious and perfect pairing with the wines. The property is gorgeous, and seating is both comfortable and somewhat private. If I had to pick only one winery to visit in all of California, this would be it. We liked it the best out of all the wineries we visited in Paso Robles and Napa. Will return for sure when we can come back.
I only wish there had been more merchandise for sale; I would’ve loved a t-shirt or hat with the Troublemaker logo.

We have been coming to Paso for years and belong to 2 wine clubs there. We are always searching for new ones to try, and our neighbors suggested Austin Hope. Great recommendation! We enjoyed all the wines. They are known for their cabs, but we came home with 2 bottles of their Reserve Rosé.
They have pivoted wonderfully with the COVID restrictions to have everything outside. Staff were properly masked up, as were we until seated. They had a birthday message waiting for my husband at our table, and they did an excellent job of serving tasty wines in a beautiful setting. We look forward to going back on our next trip to Paso Robles.
