My sister insisted on going horseback riding during a trip to Avila Beach. I reluctantly agreed, having never ridden a horse before in my 55 years of life. I needn’t have worried, though, because our guide, Olivia, and my designated equine companion, Ms Dolly Parton, made everything so easy. We enjoyed a 90 minute ride around the ranch and even spotted a bobcat along the route. Olivia was the best conversationalist and guide! Definitely worth a visit.

Our family of 3 enjoyed the 2-hour adventure ride on the Santa Margarita Ranch and vineyards. The experience was like no other. The staff were fabulous, horses very well cared for, and views were magnificent. We were given a great tour by Brian, who was very knowledgeable about the history of the ranch and vineyard (associated with Ancient Peaks Wine). We saw tons of wildlife - pigs, coyote, deer, ground squirrels and bald eagles. It was a beautiful day and lovely experience.

What a wonderful ride! Our group of 8 had an absolutely wonderful time at the Santa Margarita Ranch. Hanna and Allison our Trail Guides were the best. We got wonderful history and information about the area we were riding in. Those to girls rock! We so appreciate your care of our riders and the horses. Wonderful horses very well mannered and just a joy to ride. What a beautiful place for a morning ride. You can totally tell the horses are well cared for and appreciated by everyone. Thanks for a beautiful day and wonderful trail ride Hanna and Allison. We will be back again! They get 10 stars from me!

At 68 I am following my dreams and fulfilling my bucket list! Central Coast Trailrides was the perfect place to do the horseback riding I desired. As advanced riders we wanted to connect with our horses and be free to ride the terrain at various speeds. Brian matched us to wonderful, well trained horses and took us out for the adventures we craved! The scenery was spectacular but more so was the experience with our horses. I highly recommend CCT to anyone looking for a horseback riding experience you will enjoy and appreciate beyond your wildest dreams!

We booked a 1.5 hour trailride for our family, with a range of riding experience. The team were welcoming and helpful, making sure that we were all comfortable. The scenery on our ride was just beautiful and Brian was knowledgeable and happy to answer our many questions. The horses behaved themselves and we returned to base having had an amazing experience. Thanks to all the team, it was just wonderful.

Wow wow wow - a dream came true! The perfect family ride (kids 4&6) across the ranch. Safety riding helmets were available for all (including kids), both kids were led by the wonderful ranchers Olivia and Alison - the kids had the best time on very happy ponies. Look no further - highly recommend. Literally cannot fault.

I don’t own horses anymore but take advantage when I can on vacation. When we arrived we were met by Brian, signed our waiver, met our guide Olivia, and off to explore the ranch on matching Appaloosas. Our adventure was everything I could have hoped for, we even saw a bald eagle! I loved every minute and would certainly do it again if I’m in the area. Thank you Brian and Olivia for the highlight of my time in Paso Robles.

We had such a wonderful experience. Our guide, Brian took excellent care of us and made us feel very safe and comfortable. The scenery was beautiful with perfect weather. We booked the 1 hr ride, but wish we had time for a longer tour.
