Shopping and dessert street. A lot of shop for souvenir, ice cream, and mochi. Also national museum shop. All shop is close early around 5pm.

this is walking streets for all the people going to and from dazaifu Temple, many shops with souvenirs and local cakes on both sides

Dazaifu Mozenmachi is a busy street, which links Nishitetsu Dazaifu station and Dazaifu Temmangu. On both sides of the street, there are souvenir shops, restaurants, coffee shops and of course vending corners of Umegae-Mochi, a famous sweet. I recommend you to try it. As I...More

Visited on the way to the Dazaifu shrine. Street is filled with lots of stores selling street food and clothing. Had a sampling of some of them; all were delicious and tasted authentic. Street itself looks great to take photos in. Can be fairly crowded...More

We visited on a Tuesday around 11am. It is super crowded with tourists esp. many China tours. I don't think I would want to visit again.

There are tourist-type shops on both sides of the street that is catered for pedestrians walking only. Do not miss the Umegae Mochi, a traditional sweet that is unique to the town of Dazaifu!

There are lots of shops here, you can buy souvenirs or try the local foods. Just next to the Dazaifu Tenman-gu, if you are planning to visit the shrine, you should not miss this street.

This street is located just outside the Dazaifu station. It is on the right side upon coming out of the station. There are plenty shops selling local street foods, restaurants, souvenir shops, etc. One very iconic shop here is the Starbucks with plenty wooden sticks...More
