located far way from the rest this place is more interesting in history than actually visiting. its small and and not much to see. its better to read about the history about it. guess its worth it if you are really interesting in old buildings.

The temple itself seems a bit rundown but in a charming way. Behind the temple is the original oldest bell in Japan so that is worth a visit. Beside the temple is a small museum that houses important cultural properties and other treasures.

Kanzeon-ji Temple itself is not not much to see. On its own it would not be worth the visit. However, adjacent to the Temple is a Treasure House where they have moved historic and very impressive Buddha statues that once stood in the temple grounds....More

The temple is just 300 metres walking from Nishitetsu Gojo station in the local Dazaifu railway line: the temple seems to be always open, but when I visited it the inside of the temple was closed by a lattice and badly lighted so it was...More
