We had a fun time walking and seeing the various birds, and other animals (snakes, turtles) This is a animal rescue place. Its a free place to go. One can walk by the creek, then go see the birds There is a Discovery Center. The staff does their work there and at the animal hospital. There are also picnic tables.

What a great place to visit in the Bay Area. Nature at its best. Animals to see, stuff to learn. Enjoyable for the kids. Lots to learn. Great staff. Loads of fun. Cheap too.

We went visit Sulphur Creek with our grandchild. Free admission. Lots of birds on display, including foxes and rabbits. There is open space and several people were having birthday parties there. Parking is adequate on weekdays, but it could crowded on weekends when there is more activity. Its worth checking our. I did not know this was here. Kudos to the employees and volunteers who run this place.

I happened to accompanied my grandson to a birthday party at the Center. It was an excellent place to gather small children. We had about an hour with a naturalist in one of the building. The children were told about the Center and they could pet Tulip, a resident rabbit as well as a tame mouse. The some 15 children loved it. Afterwards we went on a short nature walk with the naturalist and she told the children about marks to look for and what they represented. I also learned a lot. There are several caged animals at the Center. While it is sad to see the animals in close quarters I understand that these animals are damaged and are unable to make it by themselves in nature. It was a very popular place to have a birthday party. I urge people to visit and to support Sulphur Creek Nature Center.

I have been to this nature center twice and both times I got to do the small tour. There are benches that people can reserve for events. The entrance is a bit hard to see when driving up D street. There is limited parking but it is a fun location.
