We were looking for something to do on a beautiful day during lockdown. This place has options of different lengths of trails for different abilities. You can hike or ride bikes, you can stay flat or go uphill. We ended up doing about 5 miles and saw a plethora of wildlife... vultures, wild turkeys, rabbits, squirrels, a snake, lizards & various waterfowl. You can even get a view of the salt flats which have an interesting history. It was a great place to get exercise and be outdoors. Masks required & social distancing but worth the trip! Open until 7pm. …

Enjoyed walking/trekking on Coyote Hills Regional Park. There is a fee per car (and additional cost for dog) to get into the park. During winter period, it can be really cold because of the wind, so be prepared. This is at least half a day event. There are various route you can take and you can determine from the start. Highly recommend for those who wants outside activity and exercise. …

We have been to Coyote Hills many times. We love it, our kids loves it. Easy hike, the museum is is great lots of information about Natives. It gives you brief history. Easy for younger kids.
