The view is outstanding. Of course the wine was excellent. The day I was at the winery, they had a husband and wife singing....they were fantastic. Unfortunately, it was super hot that day but overall experience was very good. Would recommend going a little later in the day.

We came here with friends as a part time event while in San Diego and this was well worth the trip. Everyone is very personable and made us feel welcome. Not to mention the wines were very exceptional and enjoyable. Brought a picnic and enjoyed the scenery. Would recommend.

My family came here for Mother’s Day — on my request! What a wonderful experience! We tasted wine —all of which were amazing! The grounds are beautiful and relaxing. Lindsi served us during our tasting and explained all the wines in detail. She was knowledgeable and personable. We joined the wine club and look forward to enjoying many more visits to the winery!…

Hungry Hawk is a small, family-run winery located in the San Pasqual Valley region of Escondido. They have a private parking lot that holds about 20 vehicles. They have a small tasting room a walk-up bar and several small sitting areas. Directly outside of the tasting room is a patio with tables, umbrellas, and views out into the valley. They don't offer food, but you are welcome to bring your own. The offer wine tastings, glasses, and botles. Stopped here just before closing and had a couple of tastings. I tried all reds and we added the Blueberry port. I liked them all especially the Petite Syrah. Very nice lady who was the owner filled us in on the wines and the history of some of the labels.
