Fun shops, loved the Mexican restaurant great margaritas and decor. I spent hours shopping in the antique store as well as a few boutique shops.

As a child of the 60s and 70s I vividly remember cruising Van Nuys Boulevard. Those days and the cruising culture of the San Fernando Valley are long gone for myriad reasons. Or so I thought. Then I happened across Cruising on Grand in Escondido, California. Suddenly it was the seventies all over again, except for one huge fact. The business community in Escondido does not shun the car culture, rather they embrace and support it. During the Friday night cruises, the businesses on Grand stay open and welcome to cruisers and spectators. It is truly a cultural event full of joy for the bygone days. Check the schedule on their website. Cruise nights are during mild weather times of April through September. You won't be sorry.…

They cut down the shade trees.If they were going to do that,they should have pavered the inside median and put benches there.
