I don't know if we got a bad batch, but the wine here was RETCHED. The auto museum is wonderful and the staff is very friendly, but the wine was undrinkable.

We stayed at the Welk Resort in Escondido. I was told that the Deer Park Winery and Auto Museum was very close. We visited. This was much better than the Auto Museum at Balboa Park in San Diego. A curved dash Olds is one of the first cars I saw, beside a 1950 Studebaker pickup. There is a large collection of 1950s and 1960s cars some of which are relatively rare. Many are restored. There is a collection of toy cars too along with a Messerschmidt micro car. Other automotive items are also included. I was quite impressed and will definitely visit again if my circumstances bring us back to this area.

The auto museum has an interesting collection of convertibles covering many years. Plus there are other antiques to enjoy as well. The wine tasting was less than exciting as they served wines from 2003 and 2005 in 2020. I got the impression that they were trying to unload old inventory. The wines I tasted were well past their prime and not that great.

This is a very unique place. We go back every couple of years. Excellent locally grown grapes and wine. Car museum with lots of vintage memorabilia that you won’t see anywhere else. Gift shop, free parking. To see everything should be a 2 hour peruse

Wonderful collection of old cars and I’m not a car guy. Great other old stuff to see radios galore. Signs everywhere Marilyn Monroe stuff Barbies from 60+ years ago. Didn’t try the wine.
