Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a beautiful beach with good picnic and amenities. The Kiosk restaurant serves a variety of food options. The waves can be tricky. Use caution in the surf as the waves can easily dump you. Port Beach may be a better option for young swimmers.

This beach is great for families. It has nice white sand and the water is usually placid. It's not as crowded as nearby City Beach, which is better known, Floreat Beach is good for swimming. It's also popular with surfers.

Floreat Beach is a nice beach which has advantage of usually being uncrowded. It's next to City Beach, which is more popular. Floreat is an upper-crust suburb, which is part of Perth's exclusive Western Suburbs. There is a groyne at the south end of Floreat Beach. You can walk to Floreat Beach from the Cith Beach bus stop, it's around 1 km.

The place to relax. Floreat Beach offers miles of sand and sea to enjoy with active life guards on duty at the weekends. The Kiosk offers a great selection of light meals and refreshments. Just the place to relax and enjoy. Interesting birds fly by - so great for ornithologists also.

Just next to Floreat beach is the dog beach. It's probably one of Perth's best dog beaches.
Long stretches of beach and dunes for your buddy to play in, waves to jump in, all in all a great treat for any dog. It's clean and very well maintained, so perfectly adequate for families to visit and spend the day too.

If your a regular beach goer and live in Perth, it would be almost unbelievable if you don't pay Floreat a visit. Family beach with prowling patrols - in a good way! Though the waves can get pretty high, summer time there are periods where it is flat.
I wouldn't recommend this beach for first time beach swimmers, as the current can get pretty strong, and waves can get pretty high.
Scenery is pitch perfect. With the gorgeous sand dunes, and
Rottnest Island visible on a nice day, its one hell if a scene!
There is a kiosk - little over priced. You get ice creams, drinks and a restaraunt!
With a grassed area, and a playhround for the kids enjoyment, you would be a fool not to visit Floreat :)

A nice beach without the Yobs and the Bogans that you find on some of the other beaches. More family friendly. Clean changing rooms.

Floreat is quieter than Scarborough but not always so heavily patrolled. You have to be careful in the surf which is often heavy and with dangerous rips. There's a cafe and children's playground. The cafe is quite good foodwise but has long tables which means you end up sharing with other people.
