A great place to visit - a nice town and the university campus is really interesting to walk around. So large that they even have their own university police force! The Sather Tower is well worth a visit, with some great views from the top.

This was a great experience to ride the elevator to the top and view campus without walking the entire campus. Cost was $4 for a non-student, and they were open on Labor Day.

If you are in Berkeley, it is worth visiting Sather Tower. You will get a great view of the campus, downtown and SFO on a bright day.

Sather Tower sits within Campanile Esplanade on the Berkeley Campus. Beautiful trees and view! Definitely worth visiting if you are nearby.

One can't visit the UC Berkeley campus without taking a trip up the Campanile tower. Also lovely to hear the carillon play at 8:00 and 6:00.

This is the first thing that draws people's eyes on a visit to UC Berkeley's campus. "The Campanile", as it is sometimes called, is the third tallest bell- and clock-tower in the world (quoting from UC's website), and carillon concerts heard from its courtyard are...More

It's a nice view and all, but if possible go when they are playing the carillon. They do it three times a day when school is in session, you can find the schedule on the internet. Fun to watch someone playing an odd instrument you...More

If you make it during one of the Carillon performances, this will be an amazing experience. The view alone is spectacular, so try to make it on a clear day. The carillon schedule is found online, just look for sather tower and carillon, or bells....More

There are parking areas that are around the campus. Some of the meters on the street allow up to 8 hours parking for a reasonable charge. One would need to walk to the tower. It would take about 20 minutes to half hour... More
