A great place to walk and explore the shoreline. If you get hungry, there are plenty of places to either have a picnic or dine in with a great view. The bonus is the tiny nature center that is specific to the Berkeley Marina.

The Berkeley Marina is a fun walk because you can also walk out on the pier and see what the fishermen and women have caught. There are some nice restaurants for a sit down meal along the way.

Good size marina with a wide variety of watercraft, as well as some houseboats. Nice area to walk in good weather go enjoy some fresh air and beautiful views of the bay.

During my recent visit to Berkeley, I could visit Berkeley Marina. Though one has to take a short cab ride from the downtown it was really worth visiting. The sunset view from Marina was really amazing.

On a stay at the Doubletree beside the Marina, I enjoyed it as just a place to stroll around and look at the Bay. Watching people fly kites in the adjacent Cesar Chavez Park was always an interesting part of the stroll, and parks with...More

I wouldn't know an exact spot to fly kites there, but there is a mobile kite store that may have more information about this, and the Berkeley kite festival might be worth checking out. There is a lot of open space at the... More

Yes, but...not everywhere. There are walkways all around the marina. You will not be able to go down to look at boats that are on private docks. There will be a locked gate at the top. But if you are staying at the hotel, or... More
