Beautiful buildings and surroundings, excellent libraries and cultural events, highly recommend visiting here. I came as a student in 1997 and have never left! Got a job here and have been here ever since. The scenery still takes my breath away.
This campus has been the center of my life for over 50 years, and I still enjoy wandering under its redwood trees, visiting its world-class museums, picnicking on green places, and enjoying the sight of bright young students rushing from class to class or just...More
I stayed at an hotel around the UC Berkeley campus and you cannot distinguish between the university and the surrounding environments. The school is beautiful, with new and old architectural masterpieces. Something that stuck me was the large amount of squirrels on the grounds. It...More
I'm biased since I went to graduate school here but this is a top rate university in a beautiful setting with views of the Golden Gate bridge, SF, etc. A great place to visit for school, a hike, and great restaurants/bars nearby.
It's a great old stadium ( California Memorial Stadium with all seats providing a pretty good view. Try sitting on the home side with individual seats as the rest are all aluminum benches. It's a hike up the hill and try to arrange parking ahead...More
We visited UC Berkeley to check out the campus. The clock tower was great to go up and get some nice pictures of the surrounding area.
For an even better experience, come to watch the Cal bears play football!!
As a Berkeley alum, I have fond memories of the beauty of the campus and each time I return I remember why I felt that way. In addition to being one of the premier universities in the country, the campus is hilly and in places,...More
We had about an hour of spare time while staying in Berkeley for a family event, and decided to walk over to the Berkeley campus. It was a great idea. The Campanile is magnificent visually and aurally. Our favorite spot was the Mario Savio Steps,...More
We bought the tickets on Stub Hub 2 days before the game for $15.00 a ticket. Had great seats. CC row 8. Unfortunately the stadium is never full. Cal bears beat University of North Carolina. Everyone was friendly, beautiful day.

You can take the Richmond line to Downtown Berkeley and from there the campus is a bus ride/10-15 minute walk north. Ryan L is correct that in order to be accepted into Haas you must apply separately upon being accepted to UC Berkeley. Applications are typically done in the sophomore year after completing the pre-requisited and writing the necessary essays. You can find more information about this on the Haas website (just search apply to Haas undergraduate Berkeley in Google) and I would suggest going to Haas itself when visiting rather than the undergraduate office in Sproul if you are looking for more detailed answers. Additionally, if you have any international student questions go to Berkeley International Office, on Piedmont. It is quite close to Haas in proximity as well.
