Overview

Can Prunera was built between 1904 and 1911. Nothing is known about its author, although two hypothesis exist: according to one of them, it was Joan Rubio i Bellver (1870-1952), a Catalan architect who at that time was working on the facades of Saint Bartholomew Church and the Bank of Soller headquarters, but there is no documental evidence of it. Another hypothesis attributes it to local builders.

This is an art gallery, however it is also a beautiful building with many different and amazingly stunning tiled floors, giving each room a different feel. Tall doors with etched glass. If the art does not grab you (it may) then the tiled floors definitely...More

Some of the art was nice (modern) but the house itself is very beautiful. The tile floors and the etched glass doors in particular are gorgeous. Even if you re not interested in the art this is worth popping in. We walked up and bought...More

Well worth a visit to see inside the old house - and art/historic pieces very interesting /varied too. very reasonable entry price. If they had a cafe we'd probably have stayed all morning!

There is plenty to see but items are not always labelled in english. The receptionist was very off hand. Still worth going but I can't give it more than three stars as they're not trying very hard!

The most remarkable thing about this museum are the floors and Mackintosh style glass doors, nevermind the exhibits. The flooring was fabulous and we entered each room looking down first! Very interesting looking at the way of life all those years ago as were, in...More

Such a beautiful property. Wonderfully decorated ceilings, plasterwork, windows and tiling. So good we went twice. Also a nice toilet here and good disabled access.
