Spectacular building carved out of sandstone rock face more than two thousand years old. Requires minimum of half a day to get there and visit.

Pictures don't do this magical place justice. To come thru the Siq to the Treasury absolutely took my breath away !!! Petra as a whole is just incredible and a must see for everyone.

Such a cool experience - you walk quite a ways through the Siq, then all of a sudden through the end you see this impressive building carved out of the rock wall. Quite crowded, but that is to be expected given the Treasury's reputation.

Best place to visit. We were stunning by the enormous rocks and cave along the walking tour. You have to walk a lot but it is worth it.

As impressive as expected. Although a bit of a walk in, it is easy to access for most people. Don’t be put off by the people trying to sell horse rides, souvenirs etc. They are persistent but not rude, a polite, firm no thank you...More

Did the Petra by candlelight plus a full day the following day. Intriguing. These Nabateans knew a thing or two!

Hi! The trip from Amman to Petra and back takes at least 12 hours, which is very demanding and exhausting. This will allow you to see only some portions of Petra, including the Siq, The Treasury, the highlight of the trip... More
