All the way along the Siq, you're thinking, is that it? Is that it? And finally, finally, the light changes and you can see man-made carving ahead. Take some time to soak in the majesty of the Treasury. Ignore the locals selling this that and...More

El Kazheh, or the Treasury, is right there when you exit the Siq, after a walk of about 1 kilometer. Is one of many great tombs in Petra, this one being the most famous. Just gaze and wonder at this fantastic carved monument and think,...More

Yes, it is excellent. Most people come to Petra to see this specific facade. But I have to stress there is so much more to see. As you go down the ravine and walk down the windy path, you can admire the fantastic rock formations...More

As you approach the exit from the Siq, your first view of the Treasury is breathtaking. Plenty of photo opportunities to be taken before you enter the Treasury area. Best time to catch the sun is after 10am.

The long walk and the dusty walkway is just W O W. I mean, you get to see an ancient city in the present day and get to explore and know the history of the place. The long walk is so worth it.

This hidden city made famous in the Indiana Jones movie. To get there you need to do some walking, about 2kms through the Siq , a deep ravine that leads to the Treasury. The iconic structure is at the end of the Siq. You can...More

Obviously stunning (and impossible to miss), the Treasury greets you as you finish your walk through the Siq. This incredible structure is worth viewing from multiple vantage points, so if you're game, the hike to see it from above is beautiful. You're not going to...More

One of the most beautiful places on Earth. Be prepared to walk almost 2 km one way before you reach the treasury. Start early. You will be dwarfed as you walk between the towering passages. At the end of the Siq this beauty emerges like...More
