We are two women and we spent two days and one night trekking in the Ghuwair wadi and the second day from Al forn to Little Petra with Mohammad. He was a great guide, his two sons came to prepare the camping place and to...More
Beautiful 3 hours tour along a bedouins' walk.
We were just alone.
Peacefull tea time moment with Amhed.
Becarefull choising your hotel in Dana because somebody use or abuse domestics philippins and africans women for cleaning and cooking. A bitter taste of Dana.
The tents were fun to stay in; communal bathroom very good. Good hiking from the campsite. Guide/driver Ali an absolute delight to talk to!!
Note, all RSCN facilities are expensive, but the money goes to an excellent, much-needed effort.
We crossed the Allenby Bridge from Jerusalem to the Dead Sea side of Jordan, Sowayma, and we were fortunate enough to have came across Hassan, our taxi driver. He is kind, accommodating, friendly and can speak good English. He drove us from the border to...More
If you the desert beauty speaks to your soul, this trek is a must for you. The landscape is breathtaking. Maybe only the second day is heavy and too much rocky but all the rest is incredible path thru gorges, cliffs, vast valleys and mountains...More
Again I apologise for bad time you experienced in your trek, I have nothing to say, but read the reviews of the other guests in your same group, and other groups this year.
Caring beyond the call of duty.
Experience and knowledge.
This is a great site for eco-tourism in Jordan, but you have to plan ahead. Most trails require guides which you have to book in advance. It’s beautiful though and there are lots of options for trails and levels of difficulty!
Take the trek. It is gorgeous. But do not use KE Adventure, Terhaal Adventure, or guide Murad Jan Arslan, If you do, expect to have the guide yell at you, personally berate & abuse you, threaten you, & daily fail to show you the route...More
We were only able to stay one night at the Dana Guest House and wished we could have stayed longer . The restored village is other worldly and easy to explore on foot . We used it as the jumping off point for our hike...More
We hiked the Dana Nature Reserve in March and what stroke us at first is that it is much greener and covered of flowers than what we had seen on picture. The terrain is relatively rough but there is always a longer, easier way or...More

Hi Brianne! A friend and I recently visited Jordan and we met this kind and respectful driver who took us to the Dead Sea and to Dana the next day. He even gave us a wonderful price, it was half of our what our hotel was offering us. He brought us safe to Dana and he was friendly enough to stop us to some of the most scenic views along the way. His name is Hassan and his whatsapp number is 00962795552302.

Hi Renee, we have just hiked in Dana at the end of februari '18. Hiking in May seems no problem, when you choose the beautiful "Wadi Gwheir" hike (mostly in the shadow, and also popular in Summertime). You will need transport, guide is not really necessary, but nice. we payed 110 JOD for 2 persons the hike with guide, expensive but worth it. Can be organised at Dana Tower Hotel (we did) and probably also at the Ecolodge at the end of the trail. They can tell you if Ramadan is a problem (I don`t think so). Regs Stan
