Quite simply DONT CONSIDER DOING THE TRAIL ALONE.....Its prohibitively expensive, full of bureaucracy and despite what you read on promotional sites virtually impoossible to organise!!!! Go with a group and enjoy the experience....Its not the type of walking or trekking destination you can go alone....

You can leave your backpack in your tent when you hike. You can leave it with management office if you have checked out. You don't have to bring you sleeping bag as they have thick blanket.
