Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We visited Falcoaria while staying at Salvaterra Country House following the host's suggestion. We had never heard about the history of the hunting functions of Falcons through the ages and would never guess it still is something useful nowadays. The museum is well organized, and the guide is knowledgable, polite, engaging and very professional. We do appreciate a guided tour.

At first we weren't very keen on visiting the museum. But once we were -we absolutely loved it! We saw the falcons flying free and come closer to falcons than ever thought possible
We learned a lot about the falcons and history and saw truly fantastic birds

we requested a trip to the falcoaria after having an amazing falconry experience in Ireland last year. Our hopes was it would be very similar and it did not quite hit the mark. The two people who gave us the tour were very kind. You watch a short video on the history of falconry with english subtitles. Then you go through their museum, probably best suited for school children. Finally you see the birds in the yard and they fly one for you out in the field. It was ok and I like supporting conservation efforts but my expectations were too high.

This small place has fantastic falcons of all species. Behind the videos and historical items on display, the people working here are really falcon passionates. We enjoy the fly and catch demonstration, and even more spending time with the falconer.

Excellent explanation from the Guide and the keeper. A documentary about the life of falcons was watched and then a guided tour was taken. I recommend
