Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It took awhile.2016.But yeah,it was worth the travel.Rode on my motorcycle with a friend, exhillarating, the road is narrow that if you happen to meet a large vehicle, backing up would be difficult. Upon reaching the place, the cold water from the falls is so envirogating.Hopefully,by this time, there is enough amenities like decent comfort rooms and changing rooms.Adventure seekers, must try.

Vera falls is simply stunning. It is located in the municipality of Malinao, Albay and not in Legaspi City as reported by Trip Advisor. Tabaco City is the best jump off point to get to the pristine and fresh waters of Vera Falls.
From Tabaco, hire a motorbike (habal-habal) for 250 pesos two-way good for two passengers. The motorbikes are ubiquitous in Tabaco but you can get one easily in tricycle terminals. You can opt to hire a van if you are in a big group but this spoils the thrill and adventure on the way to the falls. The road going to the falls offers majestic views of towering Mount Mayon and the surrounding sprawling hills and mountains. You can also see families local nipa huts preparing abaca for handicrafts or basket weaves. Don't forget to wave to the children and return their smiles.
There is no restaurant in Vera Falls so best to bring your own food (and don't forget to bring your refuse back with you).
Be prepared for the chilly waters and slippery rocks when taking a dip. You can opt to relax in one of the whirpools downstream or simply marvel the view of the falls upstream.

The surrounding area has been hit pretty hard by the recent typhoon, but fear not, Vera falls are still absolutely beautiful, with a crystal clear pool at the bottom which was perfect for swimming. We hired a scooter and the ride from legazpi was just over an hour, with some fantastic views riding through the hills. The "guide" man at the falls was super friendly and helpful, would highly recommend

This is one of the most beautiful waterfalls I have ever seen. From Legazpi City, Albay, it will take around 30-40 minutes to reach this place. The roads are already good and the view of the Mayon volcano is an added attraction. Once you reach the place, there is a long stairs leading down the falls. For the elderly, you may want to reconsider going down since the stairway is quite steep (5-10 minutes) and going back up may be a bit difficult (15 mins or more). Once you're down the falls, you will notice that it is small (around 10x10 meters) but the water is very clean and clear. You need to be careful since there are many huge rocks you need to step on to get to the water. Few people were there at the time when we went there. It was peaceful and you will enjoy the tranquility of the place. Taking a dip in the water was truly exquisite.
I'm not sure if there was an entrance fee but be ready to donate to the old guy there who seems to be keeping the place clean. There is also a comfort room and a bathing area with tap water. Don't expect it to be posh but at least you can have some private time.
I really liked this place. I think its anonymity added to its beauty. I will definitely go back there if ever I'm in Albay, Bicol again.

Great pristine waters, a must if you are around.
We've taken an aircon van Legazpi-Tabaco around 9:30am 35p , once in Tabaco we've hired a tricycle to the intersection towards Vera Falls 75p, but you can take a Jeepney, just tell the driver you are going to vera falls. At the road to Vera you have to hire a motorbike (habal habal) 200p return.

visitors should note there are about 150 steps going down to the beautiful Falls and 150 coming back up take your time on both. Wear supportive sneakers the rocks and boulders are uneven and care needs to be taken not to fall or twist an ankle. Water shoes are great for right by the pond and swimming.
Go early mornings and with friends. This is not for the weak.

Every time, I visit the place there are teenagers drinking alcohol and trowing trash everywhere ,the road also leading to the falls has broken or fallen shoulders until these practices that could either destroy the falls itself or put people on danger going, one can not really recommend the place at all.

If you are in bicol/albay you must visit vera falls. You may hire a private van to get there :) roads are small though and it's far from the main road. Really far. But its so worth it! When you reach the "parking lot"
You have to go down about 100 steps until you reach the beautiful falls. The water is ice cold but so clean and clear. The caretaker there asks you to write you name in his log book then u may pay a small "donation" maybe only like 30pesos. Cheap!! I suggest you to bring your own drinks and snacks. :)

This is a hidden gem on the back side of Mayon between 2 volcanoes. It took a long time to get there through some small towns and roads but it was worth it. Take a change of clothes and a towel and the water is ice cold so great on a hot day. The hike getting down to it is kinda tough so be prepared. Take some food and drinks too because not too much except and old caretaker and his family taking a few pesos for entrance. TAKE SOME CHANGE

We have our own transportation, how do we get there? Please give us direction. How far is it from Guinobatan? Is there a restaurant on the site?

Hello,
I’m not familiar with going there using a private vehicle. There is no resto at the falls or anywhere nearby so better bring your own provision. You can cook though if you want to and there is also ample space for parking.
Enjoy!
Thanks,
Ruffy
