Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Was a great beautiful overall experience. Soon as I got on the car Jose Losa explained everything well in detail . When perspective photos were being taken by group and individual he coordinated well with instructions along with taking professional prospective photos by Jose Losa. He even came along with a dialogue to say who wants to act to set up a scene for a photo and I acted #Andres and he said I did a terrific job. Well the Isla Incahuasi was fascinating , breathtaking !!!!! 🤯😱🤳 You can see all of Salar de Uyuni from this island , 🏝️ . You arrive pay 15 Bs then hike for about half an hour not to strenuous it's moderate but from their you can take wonderful photos and see whole landscape 🌆 of Salar de Uyuni ..

Guide was excellent, tour was excellent. However we got salmonella and E. coli poisoning. The dinners are contracted out to individual households who provide meals and these aren’t to be trusted. If I could do it again I wouldn’t eat a single thing provided. Seriously, E. coli and salmonella? Huge huge problems there. Not necessarily the fault of this individual your company but worth noting that this year salmonella is everywhere in Salar de Uyuni.
Thanks for reading, be careful out there.

The salt flat is pristine and vast. The pictures I took there were amazing . I stayed at a hotel entirely made of salt as well. The whole experience is incredibly memorable . I would highly recommend to anyone going to Bolivia

There’s no place like this on earth. Fascinating! Different! While you are here, do stay at the hotel made out of salt——yes——made out of salt. Walls, floor, etc.

It is one of the best place in the world. Walking on the salt flats, watch the sunset & sunrise and have lunch on the salt water. That's one of the experience in the whole life.

We booked 3 days and 2 nights tour from san pedro atacama to uyuni via 4WD. It was AMAZING! Definitely do it despite the price. We booked with star travel- great food and great drivers however they assured us of an english speaking driver- which was not the case. Luckily the spanish people in our group could translate for us. Richie really went out of his way to help us with the salt flat pictures, what a legend! Other than the language barrier, no issues with this company. Do yourself a favour and do this 4WD tour !!

Incredible...hard to describe it. You have to go and see for yourself. Plenty of tour guides in town. We even found Korean food/restaurants in the area. The town is very small and not much else to do unless you happen to be in town Thursday or Sunday when they have the town fair.

It's a surreal experience - a must item to add on your bucket checklist. It's 3653m high with a stunning flat landscape of salt on the ground. When we walked on the ground salt, you can hear the crunch. The white open space with no obstructions helped clinch it to be the venue to set land speed world records and extreme marathon. Time the visit so you can record the sunset of the day before heading to your sleep accommodation.

3 day salt flats tour from Uyuni was great and much more than we expected. First day train cemetery was surprisingly good and the the salt flats and islands stunning and well organised. Next 2 days took us south with volcanos, geysers, wildlife, salt hotels, lagoons and much more. Very cold at night but accommodation was better than we expected in middle of nowhere. Food very good and great picnic lunches. We hadn't realised possible to get over to Chile on 3rd day rather than drive back but probably us not looking properly. There were lots of tours at the same time around the salt flats but very happy we chose Red Planet

I began the 3 day, two night tour just a few days ago. Both me and another girl who i'd never met before the tour were only able to complete the first day because of horrendous food poisoning. Which occurred shortly after the first tour group meal. Think dropping your pants in front of 50 other people watching a sunset with absolutely no cover, and projectile vomiting at the same time kind of food poisoning.
Unable to eat, we stayed the night in the specified salt hotel in the hope of being better in the morning, but when the day broke, exhausted, (Me humiliated from my public experiences) still ill, were encouraged to return to Uyuni. There was no mention of any charge until we arrived back in Uyuni, where the company would not provide any refund and wanted to charge $100 USD for the trip back!

Interestingly a few days before the trip, some English guys who had just returned recounted a similar experience of frequent violent food poisoning throughout the trip, so i don't think this is a one off!

Re the tour, (The one day is the same as the first day of the 3 day) it's just driving around in the car to new photo locations. Beautiful to see but a bit tedious, and the first few stops of the day seem like fillers. I hope for the rest of the group (if they weren't food poisioned) that it got more interesting.
