Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Luis Alberto, our guide and driver was awesome! Very knowledgable and fun to be with! My partner and I made friends with the other three passengers and we had a wicked time! These four days may be the best times I've spent while travelling as the company was good, and the views were spectacular! The accomodations each night were great! We wished the dinners were a little l larger, maybe cause they were so delicious! One downside- we were asked by the agency before the tour of any dietary restrictions, i wrote fish allergy, and then for lunch on the 3rd day fish patties were prepared (looked like veggie patties) and i was about to bite into one when another passenger made a comment about how good the tuna was. I wish a little more care had gone into making sure people with allergies were safe, and that i had a substitute. I was hungry till dinner. But in the grand scheme of things it seems very minor to how much fun i had! Would highly recommend!!!

We did a 4-day tour with Barnabe aka "Berno" as our guide and the greatest cook Trifonia.
The tour was as we expected and even more. Breathtaking landscapes, comfortable hostels, and amazing food.
Berno was a great local guide and safe driver, and even with the language barrier we managed to spend some quality time with him and Trifonia (if she sees this we forgot to ask her her galetas receipe and we need it !)

Did the 4 Day salt flat tour with Raul and ot was an amazing experience. He is such a cool and knowledgeable guy with plenty of banter. My partner and I chose the vegetarian options for food and the food was awesome, never went hungry at all.

We (2Pax) booked the 4-day shared tour with comfort from Tupiza to Uyuni. Overall we really loved the trip, but that was not because of Torre tours! The region and scenery is beautiful, but we expected way more of the tour company as we paid 297USD(!) per person, which is a lot for Bolivian standards. Other persons on the tour paid only 185USD for the same tour but basic option. The only difference is that we had our own bathroom/toilet. The accommodations are very basic, besides the last night, where you stay in a salt hostel, which is nice. The second day we arrived in the town of our accommodation, but everything was booked out, as Torres Tours didn’t make a reservation. Therefore we had to drive another two hours to an other town where we slept at a homestay with dirty toilets/sheets. Due to this also the route of the trip was changed last minute. We felt ripped off! We paid almost double the amount of money as other persons on the tour, just for our own toilet/bathroom. We are not fancy travellers and we get that the area is remote and it’s hard to find good accommodations in the region. But if you offer a comfort option, which is way more expensive, than also provide it! It is just no value for money, the price range between basic and comfort doesn’t make any sense.

We had a private tour of 3 day 2 nights from Uyuni to San Predo de Atacama 31/12/2023- 2/1/2024

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the wonderful services by Aide (guide and cook) and Roberto (driver).

English-speaking Aide was very considerate and attentive to our needs, she knows well how to distract us from the high altitude sickness with candies, biscuits… she also has the ‘oil’ with her all the time together with her massage to help me get rid of the dizziness. She is also very kind and helpful to offer help to anyone we met on the road.

We appreciate Roberto being a very patient and self disciplined driver. We understand it’s challenging to drive on flooded salt flats as they would need to drive very slowly to avoid the salty splash on the Jeep. Roberto drove at 20km/h for 3 hours in order to bring us to the cacti island. We appreciate Aide and Roberto even it would delay our itinerary but they were still willing to sacrifice their rest time and do it for us. We were very fortunate to enjoy the cacti island on our own without any other tourists.

We did a 4d/3n Uyuni to Uyuni comfort tour with Raul, English speaking guide, and Mirabelle, cook. From airport pick up to hotel drop off, everything went smoothly. As we spent Christmas with the group, we brought some Panettone to share and Raul offered some local strawberry wine😍
We saw so many amazing landscapes and took countless funny pictures of the group. Really appreciated Raul‘s enthusiastism and passion to take invaluable pictures of his guests. He also explained the formation of the natural wonders and gave us an insight on local living.
Mirabelle cooked very delicious food for us. We especially enjoyed the wholesome soups!

The comfort option is also highly recommended as the number of jeep guests are limited to 4 and you have more space for your belongings.

We did this trip ten years ago with the same company, and again, it didn't disappoint. We visited some new sights and in many ways it was totally different than the last time.
Our driver was Jonny and the cook was Marko. We hired the private 4 day tour to Uyuni. Jonny was a great guide. He spoke very slowly and clearly and made sure we understood every word, so apart from an amazing tour it was also like a Spanish intensive, with a lot of information on everything we saw.
I would suggest inspecting the vehicle you will be travelling in (ours had a cracked windscreen) and make sure the gumboots they provide fit you properly (I had two right boots). You will need them on the Salt Flats.

Raul was our guide and driver for the tour in Uyuni. Am amazed at how he could drive through the entire salt flats without any markers and still knew where he was going. He drive long distances and still cook delicious for us at night for dinner. He also had creative ideas for how we could take good photos on the Uyuni Salt Flats. While the area is touristy, Raul managed to bring us to areas where there were not that many people so we could take better pictures.

Overall the trip was well coordinated as I made the arrangements with Carlos. Everything ran smoothly when we were there.

We had a fantastic trip from Tupiza through the southwest of Bolivia to La Paz. Our guide Raul and our cook Marco were great. Raul was able to answer all of our questions in best English, had the best music in the car, entertained us very well and Marco treated us with the best vegetarian food. Anytime again.
