For that vintage seaside atmosphere of candy floss and donkey rides, set up your deckchair in the section closest to the town. The Blue Flag beach is never overcrowded and also has trampolines, bouncy castle and pirate ship during the Summer. If you want a quieter space for your picnic and to be closer to the sea, then venture further along the one-mile long promenade perhaps using the land train which runs the length of the promenade.

It was stunning and we luckily had the weather for our stay! We took blankets, towels and had lunch on the beach. It’s truly a lovely place and nice sand and plenty of it!

Best beach in Wales, lovely and clean. Loads to do and see. Lovely ice cream from knickerbokers. Well worth a day visit or better still a weeks break

A favourite place for a day trip. Barmouth is virtually unchanged, apart from some new facilities on the promenade, i.e. eating places and car parking, which were added just a few years ago. We love it here.

Lovely long beach and nice that dogs have a lot of access even the sand dunes. Clean and tidy and family friendly.
