Nice views
Nov 2021 • Couples
Starting from the rock hut (not the toilets) going clockwise is the steepest way up so think about whether you prefer a steep incline or decline. Nice views and we saw a couple of stags. Nice clean toilets too.

A must to visit
Oct 2021
We were very impressed with this nature reserve as it despite the fact that it was a very wet and windy day the outdoor visitor centre was fascinating. The trail past the centre was well marked and the information boards were superb. Good car park and toilet, and great views on the trail.

A very wet cold day. Visitor centre not very well aintaned, many of the exhibits broken since our last visit. Went on the trail up the ountain, got extremely wet, but ade it right round, and found geocache on the way! Toilets useful place to change wet clothes!. Wife sat in car to keep out of the rain

Beautiful Views

Well worth the yomp to the top and not too challenging, having said that some of the steps are quite high for those with little legs and some of the drop offs may worry some if heights are a worry, that said its not difficult to go up and gets the heart going a little and sets you up for the day with a feeling of achievement.

Well marked trail

Lovely walk with toilets at the car park. It does have a few vertigo moments but the views are worth it - a walking stick helps with balance!

Great experience
Jul 2021
We parked overnight here in our motorhome. I thought about keeping it a secret, as it wasn't busy and we loved it! Great views and the public toilets constantly open were lovely - better than some of the sites we had paid for! Next morning, we walked up the crag. The steps were a little steep in places, but such wonderful views from the top. Not a long walk and we enjoyed the imaginative geology displays.

Really enjoyed our walk around!

Stopped here to stretch our legs on a long drive and ended up absolutely loving the walk. Very interactive, and educational, my 2 and 5 year old loved it. Gorgeous views and we met some stags on the way down which was amazing.
