The burial ground contains the remains of several Dutch Jewish families who settled in Kings Lynn a few centuries ago. Small and unremarkable, but still poignant. It is closed, but a key can be obtained from the council if you have bona fide Jewish or...More

We came across this small burial ground unexpectedly. The gate was locked with no indication of any key-holder, but we were able to look through the gate at the 19c gravestones etc in this neat cemetery.

Open on Heritage days and key is available from the Tourist information office so I'm told. Hidden behind a wall about 10ft tall the cemetery is about 30ft x 50ft in size there are approx 15 headstones now in a very poor state. Inscriptions on...More

In the middle of high rise, with a convenience shop over the road, and totally out of phase with the stuff all around it, a really well done to the Council for keeping it, and keeping it in good nick. My only slight moan is...More

Saw the inside of this cemetery for the first time during Kings Lynn's Heritage Open Day. There was a very informative guide and historical information was available. Usually though the site is locked but I understand the key is available from the local council.

I have loved this place for so many years. It is small and easily missed but recognises the Jewish community of Kings Lynn.

A Jewish cemetery, it is very small (I am sure the community would have been bigger), however it is unique and feels untouched. Unfortunately you cannot go in but you can peer through the railings on the gate which is locked.
