In the same square as the Cathedral this very old fountain, dating back to the mid 1500s, is worth the walk alone. Worn down by time, use and the elements it is a wonder on its own.

I live this square so" oldy woldy" and a nice surprise on the walk upto the cathedral.Still possible to enjoy some good photo opportunities of the Renaissance style fountain and carvings free of traffic and other human beings
This cathedral emanates historical reconstructions caused by invasions, earthquakes and expansion. There are many individual stories involved and you need to read them or to have them explained. A lot would be lost on a cursory inspection.
