Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A good walk from Nazare out of town and through some nice pine forest. The climb up is short but steep and you will need to be reasonably fit to do it. It is steps all the way to the top. The view on a clear day is great. The actual lookout tower is locked but you get the same view from the cross.

We saw this little mountain from Miradouro of Suberco, and I thought it was Monte de Sao Bartolomeu, as I had saved it on my travel guide. We visited it on the evening, it's a short hiking route that you can do with any shoes, as it's just a bunch of stairs. You get to the top sooner than you expected, in less than 10-15 min, and views from here are just breathtaking!

We visited this place with family. There are shops around which sell different types of things from ornaments, dishes, cloth, towels etc. There is a viewing platform which has good views of the beach, sea, and surrounding area. The space is open and can be busy with people. It is a nice place to stop for a walk around. Interesting buildings around.

From the top of the cliff you get great views of Nazaré beach north and South as well as Nazaré itself. The fort lighthouse and church are here. Stairs go down to the beaches on both sides.

Up here on top, if you arrive close to the sunset it is a madhouse. Parking is impossible, and it's crawling with people. That said, everyone is on the same page, all revelling in the amazing view, the sun's colors reflecting off the ocean.

Absolutely lovely views of the town, the plaza around here also includes the church that houses the black madonna from nazareth. This is a lovely place to get some pictures.

Great panoramic viewpoint, with breathtaking views of Nazare town and beach below. Its nice to just stand here and watch the waves coming in and admire the beautiful landscape. The funicular is close by to get down to Nazare town.

We road the funicular from the north end of this town up to the top of the cliff. Beautiful views from the cliff, We saw huge waves but later found out hat this place has a world record wave of 30 meters high for surfing and saw video footage of a surfing tournament about a week after we left. One unconfirmed legend is about The story about a local who was riding on a horse and to go while deer hunting with a bow, the deer took him to a cliff which he did not see, at the last moment before he could fall he cried out to the mother Mary of Nazare to save him and at once the horse stopped and he was saved. The picture is painted with his story in the church just beside the chapel he promised to build is at the place this incident happened.
