As the only visitors on a chilled morning we were surprised by the interesting war exhibitions. The view from the upper level of the tower was very fine, especially I loved to look down on alle different roofs in the historic part of the town.
Small but very pleasant castle in the old historic town of Chaves. Offers some good views of the surrounding countryside. Lots of nice alleyways and a few shops and cafes dotted about. A friendly town.
