What a beautiful and a sacred place this is....regardless of your culture or background. Situated in the serene landscape of Meteora is the place where monks and nuns worship and have very little with the outside world and that is evident if you visit this...More

This monastery was for us the most enjoyable one. Not too hard but not too easy as well to reach I'd say this one is quite ideal if you are in a group or family. The inside is really amazing, with really nice old paintings....More

There is a bit of climbing required to access this monastery. When you get to the top of the stairs there is a fork. One path leads to the monastery and the other leads to a viewpoint hundreds of steps up. Take the path to...More

This monastery has become the home to nuns over the past years. Some of the path to get inside is rocky and uneven but not too difficult as this cliff is not as high as some of the others.

There is a steep climb to get in and it is quite small compared to the other ones. Not sure it is worth the money to go in better to just look from the outside

The climb up to the monastery is a bit difficult but it is really worth it. We had a unique experience inside the church, as a really kind nun helped us understand the meaning of all those frescos. Less tourist-y and less noisy than the...More

This is one of the smallest monastries with few areas accessible to public, and also surprisingly no photos are allowed inside. Entrance fee is 3 euro per person (same as the other ones) which is steep compare to what can be seen here. Better to...More
