Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Visited this beach a couple of times while staying in nearby Pylos. It was recommended to us by the reception staff at our hotel.
This is a beautiful long sandy beach and popular with with wind surfers.
Not very busy when we were there and we were not charged for using sunbeds and umbrella. Presume they belonged to the nearby beach bar where we did buy drinks on each visit.
I would happily return here for a beach based holiday and made a note of some accommodation that was next to the beach for future reference! There is also camping nearby.

Crystal clear waters, which become deep after the first couple of meters. Almost always windy after 11 am. Endless sandy beach, which feels very private even in mid-July.

Early evening visit… the golden hours…Lovely breeze despite heatwave…. Was able to sit on lounge chairs w/ umbrella with the purchase of a beverage…
Beach and water could be cleaner… water has some small waves and drop off is close to the shore line; watch small children and those who don’t swim well. Overall, peaceful and relaxing…

Very nice and sandy beach! It’s close to Gytheio so you can do your groceries in the morning and go straight to the beach. It is a bit windy sometimes but it doesn’t matter, we still enjoyed it! It’s very nice for families, couples, and even just some friends!

Beautiful very long beach, with sunbeds in specific places, not much, clean, without exuberant music and blue waters, deep enough. Two meters from the coast you can't step. Thick sand that does not stick to the feet and outside and in the sea. I vote for Montenegro Beach.

Huge in length beach, with a wide enough width. Sandy beach, coarse sand, clear water, deepens to 6-7 meters. Several snack bars, with sunbeds. Very large free space for the rest. Nice view, on one side the village grounds and on the other the mountains of Mani. The day we came it was a little windy and it was perfect. It has several entrances. We entered from Demestichas.

Beautiful clean beach with blue flag and home for turtles nests.
Archelon, the organisation for the protection of caretta caretta does a great job there. You will meet the volunteers either at your hotel either at their stand where they will give you valuable info about the turtles and you can make a donation to support their work.
The beach is usually windy from midday till afternoon.

The beach of Mavrovouni (next to Gythio) is a clean and even in July uncrowded beach with a length of approx. 3,5 km. They have a protection program for the Careta Careta sea turtle. At some places umbrella's and beds are free, ther're opposite a restaurant/bar.
No problem to park your car at the beach.

Mavrovouni beach is a long sandy beach and when we went in September it was very windy.
There are caravan Parks and several tavernas there as well.
